Let in two goals so must be rubbishScoham said:U16 CB Chetam Ezenwata was there, his dad’s put up a few clips on Instagram and tagged him.
Someone said in this thread recently that we hadn’t seen him mentioned for a while. Good to see he’s still here.

Shame that a small club couldn't fill the benchPaddy Powell said:2 -
Is this current U18s side a mainly second year squad or a mix of both with a few very good U16s like Ezenwata added in?0
-
Not surprising we won if they had two guys spinning the decks in their team.5

The U18s will play Watford away in the 4th round, with all games to have been played by Saturday 24 January 2026.3

Ezenwata is in the England u16 squad. As is Nduka who Arsenal poached from us.

Would love to see some really great youngsters (Gomez-esq) come through again but just can't get excited by them given how many have been poached from us in recent years... Including Ezenwata's brother I think I am right in saying.1

Yeah, at least 6 that we know about in the last 2 and a half years, 4 of them this season.Athletico Charlton said:Would love to see some really great youngsters (Gomez-esq) come through again but just can't get excited by them given how many have been poached from us in recent years... Charlton's U18s will travel to Watford in the fourth round of this season's FA Youth Cup.
They are now set to play Watford at Vicarage Road, on Thursday, January 8th (KO 7pm GMT).
In the fourth round, if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes, extra time will be played and if still level, then a penalty shootout will take place to decide the winners.

Just checked the league table to see how they were doing - top, unbeaten, 1/2 games in hand and a huge goal difference.
Big improvement on last season in which they finished 8th out of 11 clubs.

Presume there's no threat of this game being postponed due to weather conditions...0

Missed the first 20 mins and it's been all Watford since then but commentators saying we had the early stages of the game.
Still 0 - 0 and very wet and windy0 -
Half time 0-0. Commentators discussing the first half and praising the quality on both sides.1

Our 6 looks good, anybody know his name?0

Annoyingly the commentator does not use the Charlton players' names.0

1 - 0 to Watford. (47 mins)
35 yard screamer. Keeper no chance.1 -
Not creating any chances0

Like the first team our attacking build up is so slow allowing Watford to get back in numbers and defend.0
