4-0 Norwich. Egg on some faces. These are coming good.4

Fancy us to nick it 2-1.4

Great preview @ForeverAddickted3

Long shot - anyone know what pubs in Charlton are open in the evening on Boxing Day?0

I have a feeling in my water.
0-1 Nathan special.7 -
Tricky three games coming up, starting with Norwich away. Nathan Jones will probably be relieved that the final game of this trilogy is at home, even if it is against league leaders Coventry. I see no reason not to start with the same side against Norwich, depending on Ramsay's fitness of course. The front two of Miles and Tanto caused enough problems against a side that didn't really commit in an attacking sense and they probably should have put us ahead. Might be a question mark against Apter's inclusion at left wing back, but Roussillon played seventy mins for the U21's, so may be better able to step in if required. Five points from these three games, starting with a draw at Norwich, and I'd be more than happy.2

I don't usually do predictions, but I'm so taken with @Arthur_Trudgill's sequence that I can't see beyond 2-0 to us.6
-
2-1 Charlton. Leaburn with both. Burke and Bell back in the squad but I would guess in the bench to start.3
-
A bigger challenge than Oxford. Norwich have some quality down the right, unlike Oxford, which makes it so that whoever our LWB is won't have it all their way. Rapter put in a shift, but I think Jones reinstates TC for this one as I suspect TC is a little stronger defensively. I think we'll line up:
.................Kaminsky
....Gough......Jones........Gillesphey
Bree...Coventry......Anderson.......TC
....................Carey
...........Leaburn......Olaofe
Bench: Mannion, Burke, Ruisillon, JRC, Doc, Knibbs, Berry, Apter, Kelman
I think this will be a tough one. Not a knock on Gough, but I think we'll struggle to keep a clean sheet with him and TC as part of the defense. Hoping we get more joy up front, especially late doors as we can bring on Apter and Kelman. I'd take a draw.2 -
Makama is the man to watch. He's been on fire recently and looks like the kind of goalscoring centre forward that we'd like Leaburn to be.
If Jones can keep him quiet we have a good chance of getting something. But they've looked a decent side recently.1 -

I've had an irrational hate of Norwich since living with a Canary fan back in my uni days. I've especially enjoyed their struggles this year but seems like they're picking up a bit now so won't be easy.
I still fondly remember Jacko bagging us a 1-0 win at their place, had to sit in the home end and barely contained myself when the ball squirmed past Ruddy (?) and the old geezer down the row was screaming "cockney c*nts" at the away end. Great stuff.
We seem to be getting back to our gritty, grind out a result selves, so I'm gonna be optimistic and go 1-0 Charlton, Jones with the goal.

Romping home 3-0. Kelman hat trick.

Anyone else at the 1988 game at Carrow Rd, where we beat a top-of-the-table Canaries team 3-1, with Magic Morts, Paul Williams, Carlo and Micky Bennet running riot?
Fantastic day out that was, may have even been our first win of that season?
Can only really remember Morts goal, which was his standard slalom run before rolling it into the corner....4 -

A lot of talk of signing off for 2025 in the preview, has everyone forgotten we have another game on Monday before 2025 is over?Draw would be a good result after our win but I think we will lose this one.Norwich on paper are far better than their league position suggests but I haven’t watched them this season at all, so maybe they just lack effort.Looking forward to it nonetheless!4

Last time I was there we won 1-0 with a late Jacko shot that their keeper dived over .. luvvly, a repeat of that would be just right
Narge have improved under new management but still i m o look fragile. It won't be easy but for me, a hard won point will be terrific
In the meantime, have a Super Christmas Day all Addicks wherever ye may be6 -
Norwich won’t be in the bottom 3 by the beginning of May and will be moving up that table and will pass us by the end of the season. They won’t be an Oxford on Boxing Day and we will need to raise our game from Saturday to get anything from it.
A point would be an excellent one to come back to London with.7 -
if Leaburn starts, we do not win at least we won’t score until Kelman comes on. If Kelman starts which he probably won’t then I would put money on him scoring If Bell starts then we at least draw.. unfortunately Leaburn and tanto probably won’t score. Look at the stats. Because Carey is missing the target of late, we probably won’t win this but we could get a draw7

Will happily take a point here. Norwich do look better but still frail at the back so every chance of sneaking a win.1

I was there. Also at the games where Mendonca and Hunt scored hat tricks in comprehensive wins. Happy hunting ground is Carrow Road.brownbear said:Anyone else at the 1988 game at Carrow Rd, where we beat a top-of-the-table Canaries team 3-1, with Magic Morts, Paul Williams, Carlo and Micky Bennet running riot?

Yeah I was there. It was the year I moved to Norfolk. A Morts special! Great day as my family all traveled up from London and we all went out celebrating the win. I have been to all our games at carrow road since then.brownbear said:Anyone else at the 1988 game at Carrow Rd, where we beat a top-of-the-table Canaries team 3-1, with Magic Morts, Paul Williams, Carlo and Micky Bennet running riot?

this has got a lame performance written all over it 2-0 and pompey pressure1

I've looked at the stats, Leaburn has scored in every game this season against East Anglian sides.bromleyjohn said:if Leaburn starts, we do not win at least we won’t score until Kelman comes on. Won't be allowed, we can't loose, think Pompey could prove more awkward...oohaahmortimer said:this has got a lame performance written all over it 2-0 and pompey pressure0 -

It's at Fratton Park therefore a piece of p155.1 -
Yep, still think we will do ok, but Norwich I feel will be less fraught...Briston_Addick said:eastterrace6168 said:
