Of course all our strikers would offer more if they got the ball more. The same goes for every attacking player in world footballpaulsturgess said:
I don’t agree with that, and Godden proved it only a division below. I believe some of our strikers have more to offer if there were able to seeCrispywood said:
The problem isn’t our system Godden has proved that. Our issue is we’re focusing on developing young forwards into good footballers to try and turn them into million pound assets rather than trying to sign the finished article. Our system doesn’t benefit forwards as much as defenders so we need attackers that are the finished product and can adapt to different games rather than forcing them to be something they’re clearly not ready for TC has no end product, Leaburn can’t use his body effectively and lacks pace , Tanto has no composure or technical ability and Kelman has limited aerial and hold up play Godden you can’t pick a big weakness that’s the differencepaulsturgess said:if i was to look for hope for olaofe it would be from a complete change in playing style... the football we play makes all our strikers look dreadful so maybe he could look better in a different style/system but I can't see that occurring
the ball a bit more. Tanto included.
They aren’t going to get the ball more though. Tanto was signed specifically because he’s quite good at making the most of scraps and making the most of long balls over the top. If we were a team that could get the ball to strikers more, then we wouldn’t have signed Tanto1 -
Love his attitude but I just don't think that he has the attributes to do well at this level. He has had at least 3 one-on-ones with the keeper this season and he has hit the keeper every time.
Can't see that he is going to change at his age.0 -
I think he needs a bit more time, his confidence is low at the moment. I think Jones will turn it around.2

I think he looks like he should be playing in League one. Not good enough for the Championship.0

I’m not sure what point you’re thing to make hereNabySarr said:

Didn’t think he was worse than Leaburn yesterday . Leaburn did that one run to win a foul - that was it .2

I don’t even think his confidence is low because he’s still trying to drive at players get forward be positive the issue is his ability to do that, can’t slate his effort but in hindsight going into a season with 4 strikers who we would need to rely on development rather than being ready was a silly decisionllama_child_21cws said:I think he needs a bit more time, his confidence is low at the moment. Yeah fair enough but look at the equaliser against Birmingham he will be that regularly soon then the goals will comeCrispywood said:

He made some good runs off the shoulder of defenders, just wasn’t found. In the first half he got round the back but didn’t pull it back quick enough, think other players should get the chop before him3

Did we have much choice? On our budget you can’t buy a proven championship striker. We had to try and identify players we think we can develop into championship strikers. Don’t think it’s a silly decision, more like the best we could doCrispywood said:

We were only able to sign 3 proven championship players in the summer, they all played for a relegated team and 2 of them had played for Jones before. We just didn’t have the budget to attract a proven striker for this level6 -

Went straight down the barbers after the final to cut his pony tail off too. Strange chapcaptainbob said:I know swords_alive. He used to be obsessed with Diana Ross but binned his entire collection of her records after her 1994 penalty miss.
@Admin, re Olaofe, is there a way to cash in some "told you so" chips, or is a dignified silence how it's done these days?

Seems to be regressing with each appearance he makes. Looks like a raw academy product we're taking a chance on rather than someone we signed from a top league one outfit1
-
He needs some confidence he still causes trouble when he comes on0
-
As frustrating as TC and Leaburn can be, so far Olaofe has shown why they play ahead of him.0
-
Got into a couple of dangerous positions after coming on but looked like a cat in headlights with the ball at his feet, shame0
-
That late chance was so very league one.
Seemed to think he had an eternity on the ball.
These are the things that will need to sharpen up if we're to have any chance1 -
I think he’s really lacking confidence at the moment, don’t think we as fans need to get on his back. The step up is proving harder for him than maybe he expected🤷🏻♂️2
-
He looked absolutely knackered and he came on in the 89th minute. Was almost Chuks levels where a couple of sprints had him noticeably blowing0
-
It’s amazing how we keep this energy with Tanto but when it’s Leaburn or TC 90% of the fanbase gets their torches out. Whether those 3 are good enough or not is a different question but would nice if players knew we rated them all fairly and didn’t pick out favourites/scapegoatsSword65pf said:I think he’s really lacking confidence at the moment, don’t think we as fans need to get on his back.
