If We Could Beat Either Chelsea Or Millwall - Who Would You Choose?

  • If we beat Chelsea I suspect the suggested move to sell some shares to other American investors might be successful.

    Do we need that cash?
  • If palace winning the FA Cup didn't knock your love of the Cup then I don't know what will .
    Load of shit
beat the scum all day long

Christ, what kind of question is this. I'd pick beating Millwall over a weekend away with Scarlett Johansson.
    Wouldn't go that far mate.

    The Spanners without question.
  • There is only one answer to this. Millwall

Last year didn't count because... well I don't really know the definitive reason why. Perhaps because Man City didn't seem to try, perhaps because Textor broke the rules on club ownership or perhaps because it just made me want to vomit. Whatever the reason, it's not knocked my love of the FA Cup, just my feelings towards last year's fiasco. If anything it's made me more keen to have a decent cup run to get ahead of the stripy Nigels again.

Last year's FA cup? Don’t recall it. Erased from my memory bank. In my world the 2025 fa cup final never happened.

In answer to the original question, Chelsea of course 😉
  • Millwall…. Easy one this !
  • What people forget regarding this is that if we beat Chelsea it would give the players more confidence to go on and beat Millwall and others. The feeling and excitement from big wins in the cup outweighs the overstated tiredness.

But in this hypothetical scenario we can only beat Chelsea or Millwall. Obviously Charlton fans would prefer we beat both.

    Millwall for local bragging rights.
id only care for chelsea if it was a quarter or semi final
  • Local bragging rights is another good reason for me to choose Chelsea.

Either would be nice. But if it could be only one this January, then Millwall.

Fully expect the Chelsea game to be predominately a CAFC side of current subs and players returning from injury.

    Manion
    Burke, gough ,fullah
    NEW RB, Doc, Berry, JRC
    Leaburn and Kelman

I’d rather beat Pompey on Monday than beat Chelsea, let alone Millwall
  • Definitely Millwall - in true Charlton fashion we’ll beat Chelsea and promptly lose to the lowest ranked team in the competition in Round 4 making the Chelsea exploits pointless

Has to be Millwall. We need the 3 points (and excercise 30 years of hurt)

I think the 30 years of hurt has been well exercised 😉

100% Millwall, Chelsea is a free hit, only the league matters.

Is the media going to point out we haven't beaten Chelsea in 20 years 2 months 13 days!*

It is a cup competition so League Cup counts (otherwise it is 21 Years and 15 days*, since last Valley Victory).

*- facts correct up on 10/1/26

Could almost say I has been a lifetime of hurt 😉
