  • Be nice if we can get a win tonight, given how results are going so far around us...
We could put another team between us and the bottom three

JRC looks a upgrade on Docherty or Anderson, begs the question why hasnt he played more
My son has been saying for weeks that he has Championship experience & no idea why he hasn't been starting matches.

I thought that Pompey would really go after us from the off but they’ve been really tepid. Big pressure on them to win this, so we have to expect them to push on in the second half. There should be opportunities for us if we can just show a bit of quality.

We’ve got into some good positions but, as so often, the final ball hasn’t been there.

Some good performances in that first half. Bell’s been excellent and Berry, JRC and TC have also done well. Fingers crossed for the second half.
  • Think the ginger genius is going to come on with a point to prove, he will find some space for a shot in this game.

Decent first half. Problem is that I cannot see Burke, Berry,Bell, Kelman or Rankin-Costello lasting much past 60, after that it is pot luck with the subs.
Bell lasted 60 last time out. Hopefully got 75 / 80 in the tank now.

Burke I can see for Gough on 60.

    Carey / Knibbs for Berry.

Rankin Costello hasn’t played! How can he only last 60… he should be fresh as a daisy. Kelman should have 75 in him now.

I like the lineup other than the midfield. I hope they surprise me (in a positive way!)
Well Berry and JRC have been much better than I'd feared so far. Decent first half, need to keep up the momentum and get ourselves in front (stating the bleeding obvious lol)

I have no idea how he so quickly turned into some sort of McGrandles figure on here.

All this talk of our domination?
    I'm really not seeing it.

HT 0-0 … been much better from Charlton been the better team for majority of the half .. Burke and Bell make a big difference how long can they last ? Lots of nice touches between Kelman , Berry and Leaburn .. with Berry and Kelman pressing from the front which we not seen for a while … partnership Leaburn and Kelman only 45 mins but there are signs that it could be a decent partnership if given the time .. It’s now all down to our fit our players are and how long they can last

Only allowed one. Otherwise we'd have 12 players.

Think there's a lot of overly negative comments here. Play is most fluid since Nov, passing it around well and the transition play has been up there with the best we've seen from us in this league so far.

JRC offers much of the movement of Anderson, but his pass selection is dramatically better. Berry not as dynamic as Carey, but his positioning and nous has been helpful in linking our play and getting it to Leaburn and Kelman.

Some great through balls aimed at Leaburn, just need those at Kelman now.
But we are still 0-0.  By rights we should be at least 1 up by now. All the time you dont score means it only takes 1 effort from the opposition to then go behind. And for us in particular that usually means good night.

  • Ball in from TC wins us a corner after a nice switch of play from Jones
  • My stream is jumping and on a loop with Pompey having an endless throw in

Unlucky there, great effort from Burke
  • Ooo... Then Jones almost got his head to flick on but he was offside
  • Great reflex save by Schmid denies Burke, before a ball over the top gets caught by Schmid
