Need to aim for Miles in the air as he is winning everything up top
He's winning everything in the air in defence too.

Leading 2-1 away from home at half time - happy with that. Fingers crossed we can grab another one early doors.

Again, as someone who has criticised Campbell for his attacking efforts, it's massively harsh to criticise him when he's being shoehorned in when he's not a defender...
He’s a pro footballer though isn’t he, they don’t just coach players to do what they do well, or if hope not.
If you stuck Mo Salah in at LWB I'd expect Liverpool to concede plenty of goals down his side

In terms of Charlton's goal scoring exploits this season, Kelman can now be considered prolific. Disappointing to let them back in it but keep doing what we are doing and stay tight at the back, a reminder of behaviours against Portsmouth would do no harm, still early days but are we seeing the start of a Leaburn/Kelman partnership ?

Two big changes I’ve seen in Leaburn since the Oxford game - he looks fitter and presses better, and when he holds up the ball he’s keeping it simple instead of trying to dribble out of trouble.

He looks much better for it.

He’s winning a lot of headers, but the stats have shown all season that he’s always done that.

I can see an experienced target man coming in, but as well as strengthening our options, it’ll help Leaburn maintain this level and keep improving.

Still saw a few on social media moaning when he was named in the line up. I don’t know who they want in the team, Olaofe presumably.

We have two weeks to get a left wingback in before a tough run of fixtures. It feels like the season may depend on us getting the right one in.

Should be Gough at RCB, square pegs in round holes.

Carey for Berry at HT please - he must be fully rested now.

Kelman complete the hat trick and then give Tanto 25 mins with Leaburn - who is probably having the best game I’ve seen him have - won absolutely everything in both boxes

Really annoying that Bree is obsessed with having the ball in exactly the right position,  yet his corner delivery is so erratic.
As if having the ball an inch closer to the goal makes any bloody difference!

It's not as though his delivery is an inch short of or beyond its intended target, it's way off.

Let's put it like this: if there was a James Bree voice download for my twat nav I'd avoid it because it would send me 100 miles away from where I really need to be.

Leaburn having a great game winning everything in the air. If we stay composed and just do the basic right we win this 3 or 4 -1. Like everyone else except NJ don’t get the Berry thing. Swap him out for Fullah as his running and enthusiasm will run riot against this mob

Blackburn goal just feels like Pompey’s second all over again! Totally sit back and caught napping!

Shore up the midfield, maybe Carey for berry, and find a way to get TC forward more without exposing the left and we should be fine

dont fuck about with this Addicks!

Blackburn comms impressed with / scared of Leaburn.  Feel we need at least another goal here. Defending has not been great.  Need to get Carey on too.

You could stop getting flack by not talking complete toss anymore maybe?

Not surprised he's gone for experience in a game like this, in this weather, over round pegs for the sake of it.

Do not balls this up charlton
  • Why has NJ not moved Bree to RCB and bring on Apter rather than shoe horning Bell in there? Played there before in his career I believe. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Leaburn has been excellent.

Was hoping to be wrong about Berry today but has been very poor again, his touch has completely deserted him.

Obviously defer to the club's medical experts but it was hard to see how Burke could manage three 90s in such a short space of time fresh off an injury and with his record

Probably as he isn't a defender

This was hurting my head during the Coventry game…

NJ has already explained that he wont play Apter and Campbell at Wing-Back together

Who would want TC and Apter as our two WBs?

Those who said that Kelman may replicate the slow start he had at Orient...
He's scored 4 goals in 17-games for us this season now - He scored 8 in 24 games in the League by 4th January last year.
QPR might regret thinking they've sold us a dud
So he's going to score 4 more this afternoon to match his 8 last season?

Perhaps we will score 19 today  ;)

Because having an attacking wing back on both sides would leave the back 3 very exposed.

If you are taking doing the basics right, I want us to be the best versions of ourselves 2nd half.

The Reece Burke situation is getting silly now. 3/4 games and then injured - rinse and repeat.

He is a decent enough player, but we can’t carry someone with his injury record imo. With Bree potentially going back, do we need to look at an Amari Bell (right footed obvs) who can cover right wing back and centre half?

This never looked like a 3 goal
match in the first 20 odd mins but quality goal ..and a pen ….. but then again Campbell so poor just stop the bloody cross to weak , at fault v Coventry and now today … Costello playing a bit deeper hopefully second half he will be allowed to move forward more as Blackburn push forward ..
