It's our chance to measure how far we have to go to be a World championship squad!BigDiddy said:Let’s manage our expectations- they gave spent a couple of £Billion in assembling their monster squad - we have spent …….£10m?
I’m more interested in who we sign in the window to help us avoid relegation, so even if we get hammered, let’s remember the gulf between our squads.0 -
Where are the extra tickets that Chelsea have been allocated, according to Newsnow?1

2-1 defeat but we score first to give us some hope, they bring on a couple of big boys and dominate the second half0

Wonder if Mannion will be given a chance to impress?3

Looking forward to a packed out bowl tomorrow evening against a top Premier League team regardless of what sort of eleven they put out.
An Opportunity to shine for our players on a tv audience. As always will be there with friends and family with a few beers to be had elsewhere before as well.3 -
Last night there were a few tickets for Valley Express, on a couple of routes. This morning there are suddenly lots of tickets available for all routes on Valley Express. Maybe extra, or bigger coaches, don't know what's going on. Anyway, could save a lot of people a lot of agg with using public transport.1

I use the Ramsgate coach, several times this year its been a double decker, and a bus twice !, thats with Bayliss of Dover.

. Meaning that I can see a number of the first team starting, to keep up their sharpness...
Lol
So many people underestimate how much this match will mean to the players.
We will have a full strength team and they will be giving 100%. The match is being broadcast all over the world, and at prime time in Europe. The players will be hoping to get noticed even if only to someone at the staff of a top 6 Championship or bottom 3 Premier League team. A move to West Ham, for example, would double their money without even having to move home.
Lastly, as a fan, talk like this is blasphemy in my religion. I want to live not just survive.7 -

BBC predictions from Chris Sutton, DJ Shadow Child, and AI.

I don't know who DJ Shadow Child is but I am pretty confident I don't care what they think about Charlton's prospectsstoneroses19 said:BBC predictions from Chris Sutton, DJ Shadow Child, and AI.

Nathan Jones' pre-Chelsea press conference 🗣️ (January 2026):

Weirdly, I had a dream about this match a few weeks ago, parts of which I can still see clearly. Chelsea were 1-0 up but Charlton equalised. From the kick-off, the ball was played back to the goalkeeper, who was about 30 yards out. He went to clear upfield but slipped; a Charlton forward robbed him of the ball, raced towards a completely open goal, chipped it from the edge of the area - and hit the post and bar! There followed an almighty scramble in the penalty area, the ball ran to a Charlton player on the edge of the area who hit a cracking low shot into the bottom corner. Wild celebrations started but, about three seconds after the ball had crossed the line, the assistant ref raised his flag for offside, even though there were two defenders on the line. At the point it ended - wonder how much was plausible?5

Got a funny feeling we are gonna shake little old Chelsea up a bit Saturday, and not betting against us being in the hat for the fourth round...2-1 🤷♂️2

Was interesting that the Chelsea expert on Cawley's pod said Chelsea struggle against physical teams5

Interesting 'cheat sheet' of stats for the game, particularly if you like a punt (credit Andy's Bet Club).
Bleak reading on our attacking stats but at least we know how to get a foot in2 -

Strangely I had a part of a dream involving this match. Wasn't as involved as yours but I remember the scoreline which ended 28 - 0 to Chelsea.Masterbrew said:Weirdly, I had a dream about this match a few weeks ago, parts of which I can still see clearly. Wouldn’t shock me if we played a different system tomorrow , not saying he will but wouldn’t be surprised.SELR_addicks said:Whoever Chelsea plays on the right-wing to have the game of his life.0 -
