More injuries is a disaster, especially given how Bell was moving off the pitch. Desperately need reinforcements in quick.

We lacked a bit of aggression but dont think the ref would have allowed us to be more aggressive anyway. Not sure the 2 late goals skews the scoreline that much given how many great saves Mannion had to make. At least we lasted longer in the cup that Palace and Millwal!

The twat with the hat is commentating over here in U S A for ESPN…. Sounds French …all they do is talk about Chelsea
Was the same on TNT over here.
Except of course it was Joe Cole who I don't think is French 🥖

I thought he was German. I just gave up in the end. Awful.

Scoreline was harsh, but biggest concern is the injury to Bell. He was walking very gingerly to the tunnel.

Were we slagging Kier Starmer off at one point? Why??
    Because he's useless?
What's it got to do with a Football match?

Chelsea were singing it as they were clearly having a go in relation to Starmer freezing some of Abramovich’s assets.

We obviously decided to join in with the big boys.

unfortunately Bell is always going to get injured, we only get him for a period of time between them, wish we would avoid injury prone players our squad is littered with them.

Oh finally we get some acknowledgement  that there's actually more than one team in the match.

Charlton pen wasn't a pen. Chelsea pen wasn't a pen. Chelsea get the pen. What a surprise..
I'm not sure I agree. Mannion got the ball then the man. Never a penalty.

Jones went to kick the ball and the defender tackled him from behind without touching the ball and there was contact. You cant stop a player kicking the ball by putting your foot in front of his from behind unless you touch the ball. Pen all day long.

When was the last time a Charlton keeper made so many saves in one game? Rob Elliott v Barnet?

Must have missed this energy the previous 15 years.

God that is even more stupid than booing and abusing Garnacho for no reason.

It’s probably the reason he’s playing for us and not someone better.

I really liked the look of Mark Guiu. Spanish U21 international. Barely played for Chelsea this season, could he be an option as a striker on loan?

He looked in a great deal of pain, fear that iis a very long term injury. We should not have played him in this game, or at worst took him off at half time to protect him.

    PWR.

Don't know what to think after that. My emotions are all over the place. Angry, annoyed, pissed off and feeling sorry for the lads - didn't deserve that scoreline at the end.

Will need to cool down before I post sensibly but all I will say is this.....we certainly need a LWB by next Saturday.

Oh......and the club is a shambles. Toilet block in the AC stand had a floor full of piss. Cant use 2 of the cubicles or the far end urinal unless you want to be able deep in the stuff.

Utterly shambolic on & off the pitch.

Might want to look at your fellow fans for that.
Do we not have stewards or stadium staff who can sort it out during the game ? This is 2025. ....not 1975.

Joe Cole got a teeny tiny bit passionate about us there, then remembered he was meant to say nice things about Chelsea!

Pretty sure he played against us in the Pizza Trophy, was much better tonight. Initially he was on loan to Sunderland and actually played 2 games so we can’t sign him anyway
  • Nothing to be ashamed of. The strength in depth of the chelsea squad led to a gap in class we could never realistically compete with.

Mannion and Leaburn our best players. Mannion made some super saves and Leaburn put in a performance tonight that must once again put him in the sights of bigger clubs.

The injury to Bell a concern. We really need some left sided defenders in urgently.

And yup, I still detest Chelsea.

Think TC did well playing LB today.

Maybe he just can't handle the balance of moving up and down the pitch, because he was solid today when he wasn't so concerned with getting forward.
Left back is not his game, he has man fully done his best this season playing in this role as a regular because of inuries

Doubt it. He was briefly on loan at Sunderland earlier this season but they recalled him when Delap got injured. If he goes anywhere it’ll be a Premier League club.

Harsh score line in the end but Chelsea were different class. My concern was always Bell and the risk of injury to him. Will really miss him in the league if the injury was significant and it looked quite a bad.

I really hope not, he’s so so important to us staying up. Absolutely need some decent new options at LCB & LWB in the door before the next match.

This is my point in the big scene of things not playing him would of probably only meant one more league game out of him before another injury, its trying to scoop air into a heap
