    Love banana bread. My sister makes it every now and then and it's perfection with a glass of milk (yeah bit odd but I do love a glass of milk with something sweet)

    My wife, (she trained as a chef in her long ago youth), makes the best bread pudding I have ever tasted. She made it for me once.

    Looks OK-ish - not dark enough so I suspect it’s light on the cinnamon.

    Are they confusing bread pudding with bread and butter pudding?

    stale bread dried fruits , spices fats butter and lard or margarine, and water mix to form a dough. That is what I remember.
    Sounds right, except Mum or Dad would soak the bread overnight then squeeze it out before mixing.

    I had a big slab of bread pudding on Saturday!

    We grabbed a quick lunch on the way back to Westerham through Biggin Hill and popped into the airport cafe which is quite basic but the food is pretty good.  The bread pudding was screaming at me to eat it, so I did and it was bloody lovely.

    The cafe in Charlton Park does a god bread pudding. As I discovered on Sunday.
