Can't see how Dixon gets any mins at Crawley now Khaldi Lolos has returned from Peterborough along with the striker they added from Watford. Would expect Chapple and NJ are figuring out what to do now.

Greatest respect don’t think Chapple and NJ are losing sleep over a 21 year old who can’t get into a struggling L2 side, guessing that’s more of the job for the loan manager and player welfare coach to figure out

No Ahadme for Stevenage, Farnborough game called off and Zach Mitchell didn't make it off the bench for Hibs

Not getting much service, and they're already 2-0 down.
ETA subbed off in the 72nd minute, maybe had one shot on target but very little service

Time to see if Keenan Gough can get a loan now we've brought in Clarke? Hard to see Gough getting much game time now and I'm sure based off his performances a L1/2 club would take a punt on him

Don't see the point in bringing in a defender to give us another option only to loan out another one of those options. He's not looked out of place at all so far, I'd rather we had to bring him on than Gillesphey if it came down to it.

We’ve got a few who could probably do with that next step up from u21 football, but it might come down to what positions other clubs need and the right clubs and managers being interested from our point of view.

We also won’t want to leave the u21s without enough players to avoid throwing in too many u18s too early.

My thinking is that it doesn't sound like Burke and Ramsay are far off being back (albeit who knows how long for) which makes him fourth choice. NJ seems reticent to play a right footer at LCB so he probably isn't an option there and hopefully we will have a signing or two on the left. If that means he's going to play lots of U21 football then surely his development would be bettered by making use of the positive momentum and sending him to somewhere like Bromley?

Casey scores again for Dorking, a simple tap in. It's live on YouTube, the goal is 8 minutes or so into the game.

Are Bromley playing a good strength squad? Could it show that he can score above his current level?

There's no match between Dorking and Bromley listed tonight on BBC, Sky, Dorking's website. Is it a friendly?

Yes. Dorking’s scheduled match was postponed so they put on a free friendly against a Bromley XI

Honestly don't know as I didn't hear any line ups. Pretty sure Deji E didn't feature but think I caught the PA guy saying Bromley's 1st goal was scored by a certain Carl Jenkinson .....

Very competetive match & although I'm biased, thought  the home team was excellent tonight & am certain Marc was well pleased with the performance.

    Finished 3-2.

Mitchell also started in a 4-3 win, clearly not one for the defenders

Would love to see Kanu recalled, just to see what he could do at this level, with his confidence

But would equally love to see how many goals he could hit for Walsall over the course of the full season

Great to see that prolific scorer we saw at Youth level, is now starting to show it at this level
I'd keep him where he is , go and score 20+ now and see if he can fire Walsall to promotion and win the golden boot.
And money for all those who backed him to win it.
  • Terry Taylor Vs Daniel Kanu tonight, as they look to join Mitchell in the quarter finals

Back to league action this weekend

    Wimbledone v Doncaster

    Exter v Stevenage

    Northamton
    v Wycombe

    Peterborough v Plymouth

    Tranmere v Walsall (12:30pm, Sky Sports +)

    Bristol Rovers v Colchester

    Crawley
    v Notts County

    Farnborough v Chesham United

Hampton & Richmond v Dorking Wanderers

Dunfermline v Hibernian (Scottish FA Cup, 12:30pm BBC iPlayer)
  • Walsall dropped away last few games like last season, had some loanees recalled. I hope that does not affect the chances Kanu has to score, he's had a good first half the season.

It is also important he learns how to play well in a team that are slumping though as all teams go through that in a season

… and DK scores again.  Well taken goal, rounding the keeper.
