NJ took off two of the worst performers at halftime and replaced them with forward looking players
SheffU got the shitty end of the stick with the most important of the 'debatable' ref decisions

We extended our unbeaten-in-the-league-this-year run by one more match; and we're the only team in our half of the table to do so.

What Nathan Jones said was pretty positive: scored one more goal than the other team, controlled the game, and level points with Sheffield United. Bringing West Brom and Blackburn into the mix (guy said Sheffield United are back in it, but I don't believe that).

Well obviously a win but probably the most significant positive to come out of yesterday was the fact that it was my cousins little girls first football game and she loved it and can't wait to come again.

They’ve just lost two of their players for the next 3 matches…

Don't think loosing their key players for their trip to Millwall is a positive though

TC's injury against Chelsea was not serious it seems.

Carey's confidence surely must have got a boost.

The substitutes, used and unused, looked strong.

Dykes header assist for our goal
Other than the win I actually think that’s the main positive. Our two debutants did fairly well, Dykes looks like a decent option up front and Clarke (although a bit rusty) could turn out to be a decent signing .

    Thats about it though.

You are not using the same table format to evidence your statement but the black and white numbers show none of those teams have managerd to win more than half their games so far and have dropped a lot of points already. A second half run of games like we achieved last season (and we are already 3 games into that run 😉) would close the gap. I’m not saying we can do that but with the 4 strikers we will have more chance of getting goals and they will take away a lot of pressure that our defenders and midfield have had to suffer up to this point.

I am just screenshotting the current table 🤷‍♂️. Please note the 11 points off the playoffs comment. When we beat Millwall Saturday (think positive), that'll close the gap even more and we'll be 6 points behind (hopefully) when QPR come to town.

Beat them (again, think positive) and then by Valentines day we'll be 4 points behind (the play-off teams) with two games in hand over the pack 😉.

That's if you assume that Kaminski isn't allowed to make a few saves, what's he there for if not to stop the opposition scoring ?

let's face it there weren't many......3 points being about it.

they keep 11 men on and we lose that

    The 3 points, Kaminski, Clarke.

No part time wankers throwing beers either or fighting. People at Charlton who actually wanted to be there and not closet Chelsea fans.

I even saw confetti thrown up which I would welcome over some muggy c u next Tuesday throwing a beer away from themselves.

    That's about it

A relegation rival (probably  not) has two players, one being they're captain, suspended for 3 games

Seeing as ultimately the 3 points is the main objective of the game, it is a pretty massive positive. I would add one though. I am pleased for Gillesphey. Yet another diagonal ball that leads to a goal. I know he lacks pace but some fans need to be a bit more respectful and yes, even grateful to the guy.

It looked like there were 3 Charlton subs lined up just before Knibbs got taken out. They keep 11 on and we change our game then we could also have won it that way.
  • The only positive from yesterdays game was the 3 points we won , nothing else no matter how you dress it up.
No Kaminski looked good but apart from that I concur.
