Thoroughly enjoyed the day and game.

Sat pretty close behind the Swindon dugout first half as mates mate is Assistant manager (tetchy little shit who didn't shut up at the 4th official all game). Moved towards the covered End second half to see all the goals.

Swindon were very unhappy about the 3rd goal. Apparently they haven't been asked about the multi ball system which apparently you have to agree pre game. So the quick throw in took them by surprise. Equally it had been used by both sides plenty of times before that point so don't really buy that tbh.

Obviously against a lower level opposition. Massive gulf in quality and fitness. Swindon sat off us and gave us a lot of space and respect. So much space and after the first 5 mins I was worried we wouldn't break them down. Luckily I was wrong.

Weirdly both my standout players were defenders (probably because of the space and time they were given). Number 18 on the right of defence looked excellent, particularly going forward. And number 5 at CB, looked strong, composed on the ball and had a real turn of pace. If she plays like that against better opposition she will be class.

How close to our first team was that?

    Is Lockwood related to BDL?

Pretty much the first team and Lockwood is a new signing from north of the border so I doubt it

A professional performance in a game that made very clear the stark difference between the top two levels of the women's game and everything below it.

It was nice for our strikers to fill their boots, and after starting with a strong team we were able to rest key players like Elisha N'Dow and Jodie Hutton while giving debuts to Katie Lockwood and Lizzie Waldie. Lockwood looked decent enough and scored twice, though I was less impressed with Waldie, who looked a bit nervous in just about the least stressful in-game circumstances imaginable (I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and put it down to debut nerves). The goal of the game for me was our fourth, a really incisive move down the left leading to a cross from Hutton for Karin Muya to finish neatly.

Today served as a nice warm-up game for next Sunday's huge test against Newcastle, and the standard of opposition means it doesn't tell us much more than we already knew. But it's a nice confidence boost to start the year, plus it was Karen Hills' 150th game in charge – the milestone was marked with a commemorative shirt presented before kick-off. Congratulations to her, and let's hope this is the start of a really special year!

Got told off by a Swindon fan for saying "you think you'll come back from 4 down"

Got told off by a fan for chanting- then just chatted the whole time and did the 'Charlton, Charlton, Come on you reds' during the corners after that.

I loved the rabbling vibe of the Women games, but even my friend said needs to be more chanting.

@cantersaddick it's not always this exciting we swear!
I think I'm a good luck charm! Anyone wanna buy me a season ticket? ;)

Biggest charlton win I've ever seen!
If your serious, I could lend you mine (I am busy with work the next two women games). Mi casa, su casa, but it shouldn't cost much to buy a ticket yourself tbf.

We've now reached the point where you need to put (SEVEN) after the score
    Charlton 10 (SEVEN) Swindon 0.

Cup logic applys club wide. League is more important (in the Women's case promotion is priority) would like an little team purley because it means we can play a 2nd string. I will echo the views of my friend and say away (as it'll be a nice little trip).
If we get promoted we will play the Arsenals (at the main ground not the reserve ground), Chelsea and Man Citys of the country.
That being said- never will complain about a trip to Wembley!

They ran out of space for the 10. Had to reduce the font size. We were wondering about this after the 9th goal so looking out for it when the 10th went in. Goal graphic stayed on screen for a while. Seemed like they were trying to work out how to get it to fit.

2 of the group work in tech and have elements of product design in their work so this was the state of the chat.
