Winter-January 2026 Transfer Window Rumours ...

Apter got player of the month for August he also scored and we keep clean sheets in that period and Tanto has been given 10 minutes every month to prove himself, to say they're not good enough isn't a fair statement. Apter has what is takes you could see that in the games played in August and Tanto has shown flashes in my opinion.Southbank said:
Because they are not good enough to fill the gaps on our team. Buying them was the mistake, not playing them is understandable.Diebythesword said:Apter and tanto being off on loan would just show what an utter shambles our summer recruitment was. Two players we paid money for who we won’t play. Shambolic19 -
Not a rumour but Amine Bassi is a free agent and might be worth looking at2
-
It will but none of the current L1 top 10 will be able to drop £7m on one player, let alone the £19m that Wrexham are rumoured to have bid on a striker. If we stay up then the three teams who come up should have a worse quality squadthai malaysia addick said:I take your point, @fenaddick, but I'm beginning to wonder what normal is. The Championship looks to be a different beast since the time we were relegated from it. I read that there's a strong possibility that seven Championship teams will receive parachute payments next season. Will it get tougher still?6 -
Shirley Bassey looks good for her age.MrBurns said:Not a rumour but Amine Bassi is a free agent and might be worth looking at
Not sure we could afford the wages though.3 -

Sorry......quoted the wrong post.NabySarr said:
If you actually read this thread and the actual post you quoted, I am the one saying there’s no chance of us getting Rak-Sakyigolfaddick said:
Stop all this JRS business. We haven't got enough money (or dont want to spend it) on a fit LWB. Do you honestly think we are now going to splurge 10x that amount on a player that doesn't fit in with our very rigid system.NabySarr said:
If we got Rak-Sakyi then 4-3-3 would definitely be worth it. But without a player of that quality you are opening up our defence as our options for a back 4 are not good, and then relying on TC and Apter to score/assist enough to make up for it. I really don’t see that happening as neither are proven at this levelScoham said:
I agree 4-5-1 is worth a go, with a proper wide attacker on both sides.DOUCHER said:NabySarr said:
There’s absolutely no chance Rak-Sakyi will come here. Palace want to make money off him, we’d not be a good move for that at all. They’ll have plenty of better offers and even if JRS wants to come back here they aren’t going to allow itDOUCHER said:Never been more convinced that we need to switch to 451 and get rak saki in on the other side to TC - pay him whatever it takes and sign him up at the end of the season if it works - the alternative will be a lot more costly
They will want him to go to a team where he will put up good attacking numbers (not us), and a team that will add in a hefty permanent fee as part of the loan deal (not us)
First part of your case is subjective - he’s needed, will play and can transform our attacking figures - second part is entirely in the hands of our owners and critically, he would likely want to come to us
I’m a lot less optimistic that money alone would be enough to bring JRS in for the other reasons Naby gave.
You didn't want to listen 3 weeks ago. You are still not listening.1 -

Maybe it's recency bias... but he goes straight into my Mount Rushmore of utterly forgettable signings / players that I will never forget.0

The next challenge, double family bucket and fries 🍟 😋7

Also frees up a senior squad spot which I suspect will be used.13

What an absolutely bizarre signing (Rousillion) and to be honest, slightly worrying. Brought in as cover, unable to get up to speed in the time he was here, or just not good enough. All the while we were are still pissing around starting TC and others there.I do genuinely start to wonder whether the good opening few months of the season has really papered over some gaping cracks we have in the foundations of how the team is being built and the club is being ran. Seems to be all falling apart quite rapidly
i say this as someone who has been very positive and upbeat about the season so far and the initial signings in the summer12 -
That photo isn't far off being the closest he got to an actual game.21cws said:

He was only here 2 months or so, but I'm struggling to think of any other senior players who've been on the bench (so not injured unlike Cory Gibbs) but never played a minute, and have no V number.1

Nile John was on the bench quite a bit I think.2 -
Indeed. We never lost a game or even conceded goal when he played - a true legend.Macronate said:For me, up there with Bartram, Hales, Mendonca and Ledley in terms of legendary status.
