What I particularly liked about it is that most of the contestants were likeable and I was also rooting for the traitors, and especially the decision made at the very end (I'll avoid spoilers but you know what I mean) that made me feel good inside... But it didn't have the OMG! Massive twists and turns and pantomime stupidity of some of the others. It was a great series don't get me wrong thoughcarly burn said:
Really? Thought it was one of the best yet. Loved itMcBobbin said:Any love for traitors? Quite enjoyed this one, bit different if not hitting the heights of other series.
Just been introduced to Future Man. Absolutely ridiculous but very amusing1 -
Been watching Lynley....it's set in Norfolk but most of it is filmed in Ireland. Seen 3 episodes with one to watch.3

A knight of the seen kingdoms is going well 2 episodes in although the latest was as long as an episode of eastenders weirdly
Little Egg is a real find. That kid is perfectly casted
The Targareyns are all well suited for their roles as well2 -
I've really enjoyed this series, watched the last one last night and it didn't disappoint.HastingsRed said:Been watching Lynley....it's set in Norfolk but most of it is filmed in Ireland. Seen 3 episodes with one to watch.5 -

Watched the first episode twice incase i missed out on it or wasn't watching properly, still feel its a bit slow early doors but GOT was in bits so ill hang in there.Carter said:A knight of the seen kingdoms is going well 2 episodes in although the latest was as long as an episode of eastenders weirdly

Doesn’t help how short each episode is.johnnybev1987 said:

Just wondering what bodily function they'll open episode 3 with.Carter said:A knight of the seen kingdoms is going well 2 episodes in although the latest was as long as an episode of eastenders weirdly

The Apprentice. It’s a bit old hat now but it’s car crash TV for me. Each series they seem to find candidates who are more useless than any of those that have come before them. Episode 1 of this series was both hilarious and, at the same time, eye opening. How can the supposed cream of our entrepreneur's be so stupid. The estate agent bloke annoyed the hell out of me, hope he goes next week.1

The auld boy’s boy was longer than the episode.AllHailTheHen said:

I used to watch it for its stupidity levels like you, but I don't even bother now and haven't watched it for a few years. Thought I'd watch the first episode last night and it's such a tired and boring format now I won't bother with the rest.LargeAddick said:The Apprentice. It's not even funny anymore.2 -
Thought he looked like he was going to cry at one point / very nervous in front of the grown ups but all ‘billy big boy’ in the shots of them awaiting the arrival of the boardroom survivors.LargeAddick said:The Apprentice. Maybe it will grow on me.0 -
Haven't watched it yet but as soon as you said estate agent I muttered "wanker"4

Watching Drops of God on the BBC, drama about the wine industry, really good.0

I’m loving it, got some great humour in it and the chemistry of Dunc and Egg is fantastic.Carter said:A knight of the seen kingdoms is going well 2 episodes in although the latest was as long as an episode of eastenders weirdly

Enjoying both Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and Wonder Man, the latest Disney+ / Marvel releaseBen Kingsley as Trevor Slattery has turned into a bit of a gem of a character.0

My daughter who has read all the books, said that a knight of the seven kingdoms is George RR Martin best work.ValleyGary said:

Started Wonder Man. First three episodes were okay, ALOT of dialogue. Then the 4th episode, just weird (I’m guessing I’m not a big enough Marvel nut). Dunno if I’ll go back to it.0

Watched this last week. Quite enjoyable and, as a City-based worker, it's quite exciting to see places you're familiar with or walk past regularly.Dugdaleclass said:Watched Steal on Amazon. Fast paced hokum which has an intriguing opening in the City of London financial centre. Queen of the North Sophie Turner is very good as the office girl who likes to get bladdered at weekends, who suddenly finds herself in very deep trouble.0 -
I've just finished S2 and have decided to treat myself to a month of Apple TV so I can watch a series of Slow Horses as a palate cleanser.Webby said:
Just did the same, forgot most of it and enjoyed the re-watch. Went on to season 2 and personally thought nowhere near as good.LargeAddick said:Currently refreshing ourselves on the first series of The Night Manager. Aired in 2016 with series two starting early January. Glad we are as completely forgotten what it was all about. Two episodes in, very enjoyable watch, great cast, would recommend.3 -

New Mackenzie Crook (Small Prophets) released on iplayer today. Have watched 3 of the 6 so far. Very different from the Detectorists, but am sure fans of that will like this.4
-
Thought the new Lord of the Flies got off to good start on BBC... Was one of my favourite books growing up and didn't have it torn apart in English1
-
Bit late to the party but just finished season 1 of Stranger Things.
Great casting.3 -
New Lincoln Lawyer out on Netflix. As pleasant and easy a watch as the last 3 seasons.6
-
Finished this. Not laugh out loud funny, apart from the scenes with the elderly black neighbour, but really liked it. Pearce Quigley and Michael Palin are great as father and son.Clem_Snide said:New Mackenzie Crook (Small Prophets) released on iplayer today. Have watched 3 of the 6 so far. MacKenzie Crook has a much smaller part but is as awkward and ridiculous as ever.
Apparently it definitely has a second series and Mackenzie gave an interview saying he had 3 series in his head. So hopefully more to come.3 -
Wife and I have been watching Tehran on Apple...Mossad spy 'thriller'...good pace, good acting and an easy watch...(and bonus that we both like it). Don't think have seen it mentioned on here, so a recommend from me (and apologies if I'm several years late to the party.....).2

I’m 3 in. It’s decent and very easy to watch. Ticks all the ‘nice’ boxes that the detectorists did.Clem_Snide said:

Good tip. Wife drools over the Lynley character. Are the books any good?HastingsRed said:Been watching Lynley....it's set in Norfolk but most of it is filmed in Ireland. Seen 3 episodes with one to watch.0 -
We're 2 episodes into Betrayal on ITV, enjoying it so far.1
