Leicester have been poor this season and one of the few teams to come down the valley that we got the better of even if the result was the wrong one.
That being said with the dirge we are serving up right now, who knows?

TC isnt a striker and he isnt a wing back. If he is going to play up top, it cant be from the start. Bring him on to run at tired defenders.7

Whilst I would normally agree with this we need to be the team that scores the first goal, the earlier the better. We need to stop the free to attack onslaught approach we give to opposing teams every match and the best way to do that is to put them on the back foot from the start. As much as TC just seems to look like he’s gone to sleep at times or fails to get past a defender he clearly still worries them enough for them to shut him down.king addick said:TC isnt a striker and he isnt a wing back. Was it us there last clean sheet must be around then?LargeAddick said:

If he loses against Pompey thats it for meThe Red Robin said:They’re a decent team who have lost their way a bit recently. Can’t see us getting anything here. How much longer does Nathan Jones get?0 -
No, home to Coventry 0-0, September 20th. We played them in August.CAFCBourne said:

Bell is not listed in the injuries section of the Club's team news update.

Time for this squad to stand up and show some bollocks.
If Jones can't galvanise them after that shit show last weekend, and we limp to another loss, he has to go.0 -
Call me fecking mental but i think we will get something out of it.5

Comfortable away win 0-44

Would take a point now but hoping for a reaction to last week and nicking a 1-0 somehow.2
-
The way things have been lately I honestly cant see us not conceding atleast 2 goals here, we wont score 2 so I guess that means a loss but Im hoping for a better performance than the last few games to hopefully see a glimmer of hope2

Karoy Anderson is already on the team sheet.8

Not saying this is a must win game, but Leicester are bang average (form) and if we are to pick up any wins (and we need a lot), this has to be a game aimed at picking up 3 points. I watched Leicester v Oxford and Oxford were average, but somehow worked harder and hit them in the break.
If we are to beat Leicester, I think that puts us back in the survival pack and takes any momentum away from them (losing to a poor side, us).
Not sure how we can claim any points anywhere at the moment, but if survival is going to be a realistic prospect, then NJ needs to keep it tight at the back (which has slipped) because we sure as hell can't score many with our front guys.
The newbies need to perform beyond their lackluster reputations or price tags.
0-1 (TC) and the dream of staying up continues.4 -
Anyone consulted Adrian Apter on the line up seeing as his viewpoint is crucial to the club apparently?5

We don't need 'a lot' of wins. 6 out of 18 games, 1/3 which by anyones estimates is not a lot, especially with our home form and teams to come. The Prince-e-Paul said:Not saying this is a must win game, but Leicester are bang average (form) and if we are to pick up any wins (and we need a lot), this has to be a game aimed at picking up 3 points. This site has become hysterical over the last week due to events. I do not want to go back to league one as much as anyone and the football has been beyond frustrating at times, but there is no need for hyperbolic over reactions. If I was a Sheff Wed, Portsmouth or Oxford fan, (and even blackburn and WBA) I would have entitlement to be so reactionary, especially those established championship / ex-prem club.
I also think we might get something from the game tomorrow, esepcially if Bell is back as suggested above.9 -
Coady on pre match media duties, he's a good communicator

There simply has to be some form of changes from the team that started last week. It wouldn’t make sense otherwise.
Part of me is convinced Coady will start, they’ve made a big deal of him this week and now his previous experience and leadership is something we’ve been missing. And for that I wouldn’t disagree. The other part is unless Jones is injured, surely Coady wouldn’t start as an outside centre back?
Think we need to see a change up top as well. We at least know TC works well with Leaburn and with Godden. He’s got a half decent relationship with Kelman but not quite there. There is no chemistry between Dykes and TC. And for me it’s ridiculous if we don’t start TC.
Kaminski
Ramsay Jones Bell
Clarke Coventry Rakin-Costello Chambers
Carey
Leaburn TC
Mannion, Burke, Coady, Fevrier, Fullah, Berry, Godden, Kelman, Dykes
Fevrier to come on for Chambers after about an hour.
We desperately need a new midfielder.15 -
2-0 Charlton. Up the addicks!O-Randy-Hunt said:Call me fecking mental but i think we will get something out of it.2 -
We need to really improve our work rate. The last 10 or so matches we have just strolled around the pitch while the other teams ran us ragged. I never thought i would say that about a NJ team.13

Some brave stabs at team selection here, don't think I will enter that lottery though. Points are vital now but they only come with a performance, Sheff Utd at home being the exception, I personally didn't think that we'd get more than four points from Sheff Utd, Derby and Millwall, but I think the performances in all three games were the catalyst to a plethora of negativity surrounding the Management and playing staff at Charlton. If we had drawn all three games, the atmosphere would have been very different, oddly. We didn't, so a much improved performance and guts in front of a sell out away end is needed. I won't select a side but there are some players who may not make the starting line up due to lack of balls in the Millwall fiasco, Ramsay, Burke, and Costello, Lloyd Jones may be given a rest and if Amari Bell is available, I'd expect a change on the left. Midfield is a problem and is almost picking itself through lack of options and captain Docherty being out of favour, so it's Anderson, Coventry and either Carey or Berry. Up front, Campbell and Dykes but where the goals are going to come from is anyone's guess. I think it's another defeat to crank up the pressure.1

If my maths is right it’s taken us 22 matches to win our last six games, so six in 18 is actually quite a lot.BalladMan said:

Forget the nonsense that gone on this week let’s get back to the football .. this is a tough game even before the manager change .. yet the home game was our best performance of the season .. yet they had that prem quality .. and they will still have that tomorrow …… think a draw will be an excellent result .
as for the team who knows if we stick to our normal formation
Kaminski
Clarke
Ramsey
Jones
Cody
Fevrier
Coventry
Costello
Carey
Dykes
Kelman

Kaminski
Clarke Ramsay Jones Bell Chambers
Coventry Costello

Leaburn Campbell
Mannion Burke Coady Fevrier Anderson Fullah Dykes Godden Kelman
A scrappy draw with a late goal from a sub saving us.
If Jones and Bell are out injured, Coady and Gillesphey in and a defeat incoming.0 -
This is undoubtedly our best XI at the moment imo.
Kaminski
Ramsay Jones Bell
Clarke Coventry Rakin-Costello Chambers
Carey
Leaburn TC
We are consistently better when TC plays up front vs when he doesn't.
I think people are too harsh on Anderson, and I think he's useful and should definitely be on the bench. He shouldn't be at the base of our midfield, but I don't think Jones has as much in Coventry defensively as he once did, so that's why that keeps happening.
