Still feel I need another week to recover after our last performance.3

Despite everything Charlton wise, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game, going with my son which doesn't happen to often these days, can the Addicks make our day, no idea but dreaming of the points, 0-1 Addicks.8

Reckon I’ll need at least a month.thewolfboy said:Still feel I need another week to recover after our last performance.1 -
Jones is not getting sacked or resigning!”this season “
irrespective of who has arrived or left, for now us supporters need to try and create some sort of positive atmosphere so we can try and have a go at staying up, negativity will not help at all, the thought of relegation doesn’t bear thinking about , so for now let’s all try to get some positivity transferring to the pitch? inquests & laying the blame can start if relegation happens.1-110 -
It’s not A LOT different between 18 and 22 though is it. Same can be said for at least 2 other teams down the bottom.se9addick said:
If my maths is right it’s taken us 22 matches to win our last six games, so six in 18 is actually quite a lot.BalladMan said:
We don't need 'a lot' of wins. 6 out of 18 games, 1/3 which by anyones estimates is not a lot, especially with our home form and teams to come. The Prince-e-Paul said:Not saying this is a must win game, but Leicester are bang average (form) and if we are to pick up any wins (and we need a lot), this has to be a game aimed at picking up 3 points. I watched Leicester v Oxford and Oxford were average, but somehow worked harder and hit them in the break.
If we are to beat Leicester, I think that puts us back in the survival pack and takes any momentum away from them (losing to a poor side, us).
Not sure how we can claim any points anywhere at the moment, but if survival is going to be a realistic prospect, then NJ needs to keep it tight at the back (which has slipped) because we sure as hell can't score many with our front guys.
The newbies need to perform beyond their lackluster reputations or price tags.
0-1 (TC) and the dream of staying up continues.
This site has become hysterical over the last week due to events. I do not want to go back to league one as much as anyone and the football has been beyond frustrating at times, but there is no need for hyperbolic over reactions. If I was a Sheff Wed, Portsmouth or Oxford fan, (and even blackburn and WBA) I would have entitlement to be so reactionary, especially those established championship / ex-prem club.
I also think we might get something from the game tomorrow, esepcially if Bell is back as suggested above. It’s not over by a long shot (but you wouldn’t believe that reading this site).1 -
All the predictions giving us a draw and some even saying away win. Please get your feet back on the ground.
Nathan will not be able to put a team together to pick up any points. 2-0 Leicester win and once again we will be asking WHY!3 -
They haven’t kept a clean sheet in over 20 games !!! We all know what that means
I would take a much improved performance to try and build some confidence for the next few games that really are must win1 -
Not seen such a chaotic week in the transfer window since the days of Roland and Yann leaving. Feels quite similar this week in that something feels wrong. If memory serves me well we lost 2-1 at Wigan that week and still stayed up. Leicester have midfield injury woes and we need to win our battles. I am not sure we will, 2-1 to Leicester.1

Not very optimistic about this one, he may have tightened up the defence, but our lack of creation and scoring hasn’t been addressed, teams know if they score 1st it likely to be enough. They will come out quick like stoke and that will be it. Our midfield is a massive problem.2

Leicester 0--1 Charlton, Coady with a bicycle kick to show everyone his legs haven't gone.16

Since we beat West Brom to go 5th in the table on the 4th November, we've won 2, drawn 3 and lost 9 of the last 14 games. And one of those 2 wins was against 9 men.se9addick said:

That's relegation form. Which isn't to say we can't win 5 or 6 games in the next 18, but it will require a major improvement. And with Wednesday being so bad, it'll require a decent points total to survive. The likes of Oxford and especially Pompey are in better form than us, Pompey have just 1 defeat in the last 8.3 -
I have no idea. Let's hope NJ does not fuck up his selection.
But

No chance 4-0 foxes1

Our midfield is nowhere near good enough, so unless that changes, we will be under pressure.BenHaimandBikey said:
This is undoubtedly our best XI at the moment imo.
Kaminski
Ramsay Jones Bell
Clarke Coventry Rakin-Costello Chambers
Carey
Leaburn TC
We are consistently better when TC plays up front vs when he doesn't.
I think people are too harsh on Anderson, and I think he's useful and should definitely be on the bench. He shouldn't be at the base of our midfield, but I don't think Jones has as much in Coventry defensively as he once did, so that's why that keeps happening.
I have consistently said that we need to be realistic about what we might achieve this season, but the squad management and transfer business has been abysmal. Whichever 11 we put out, i cant see how we will control the game and we need to start doing that. Our forwards get zero service, so unless we score goals, we will be under threat of relegation.
As for Anderson, he is simply not a championship quality player. He can’t pass the ball, or take us forward - every time he gets the ball, we go backwards.
It’s not his fault he is not good enough, but he ain’t.
I think Leicester will beat us easily. I just hope we battle like it matters, unlike last weekend.

Sadly, whether we stay up or get relegated, I doubt NJ can progress us. That is because he is inflexible with his tactics and his man-management skills look suspect.Ilovelondontown said:Jones is not getting sacked or resigning!”this season “

Won't be at this one, although my son is going.
I'm still feeling pretty despondent after last weeks second half relegation show.
No idea what to expect this week, either line-up wise or performance.
Hopefully the player churn this week will have a positive effect. Sometimes just one or 2 strong personalities can change the whole mindset and dynamic of the group.
What remains to be seen is whether it has improved the overall quality.
I want to see a cohesive, determined and committed team that wants to win.
No more flaccid Bovine ineptitude4 -
PS All this churn and I still think our season depends on whether Bell is fit and available8

Probably our biggest game of the season so far in terms of what a result would do to boost the entire team and fanbase. That being said we’ll probably bottle it like we did against Millwall. Hope im wrong.0

Happy Valley, we miss you !3 -
Realistically it’s another lame defeat but I like something about Coady , feels like he has a real positive mature attitude and hopefully that will rub off on the rest of our lame ducks and they can feed off his positiveness (says one of the most negative cnuts in the world)
I hope Dykes starts with Leaburn they’ll cause problems and Godden again can finish the job off with a little help maybe from the not so special K el man .
With Apter left we only have TC who knows you have to bring the ball forward to score goals so it’s down to you .
midfield of Conor Cov and Doc please , the deep sea diving booted JRC has had his 20 mins of good footy this season . Leicester are 7 points from the play offs so know they have to win to be involved and the new manager bounce and a much more expensive team are perfect excuses for another defeat .
nope it’s a cert home win remortgage again and stick it on Leicester at a touch better than evens on betfair0 -
That’s not even funny . Still remember him up at Wigan in Nov 06 his last game.jimmymelrose said:Bouncebackability, yay!

"Come on boy's, football isn't rocket science:
More thrust Charlie Kelman. You can't have burnout velocity already Macca. Find our apogee and Miles will give us lift off. I want to see hypergolic all over the field.
Christ, I'm going to have to make 5 changes for a booster
as another re-entry hits our net."1 -

On my way up already. Approaching London. 4.5 weeks into the winter transfer window, hoping Gillesphey isn't starting.1
