    What formation are we playing??
I kept trying to work out why I couldn't put it together then realised there's 6 defenders!

    No idea.

I wonder if it’s 4-4-2 with Ramsay and Bell as fb’s and Clarke and Chambers as wingers.

I’m just trying to figure out how it works?!

campbell and Fevrier to come on after an hour on each wing

Looks like Doc and Nathan managed to resolve their issues

Looks to me like we're playing Coady in the holding role

We're going to end up with a starting 11 with 10 defenders by the end of the season.

    Jones football's end goal.
  • What a result to have Bell back. But why on earth are we doing two big up top again, looked awful and also means no fresh legs if we need size up front later in the game.

Otherwise don't mind it at all.

Should get a good look at whether Coady still has his legs or not if he's in at DM
Two up front isn’t the problem. It’s which two.
It isn't two up top I said I mind, it's two bigs. (think we are basically saying the same thing)

No you have to have two big lads upfront.

    8-0-2 maybe!

Personally don’t like the two big men up front and would have started either Kelman or TC with one of them.

What i really would have liked to of seen (before the coming and goings this week) is 4-3-3 and the front three - TC Kelman Apter, with a playmaker number 10 behind in the midfield three (would have to be a new signing obviously) but that ain’t going to happen now!

Just hope we get a proper performance after last weeks humiliation. UTAs!

That line up smacks of a manager who's run out of ideas and wants out.

    Could it be?
                  Kaminski
RWB Ramsay  Coady Jones Bell Chambers LWB
                       Clarke Docherty
                              Carey
                           Leaburn Dykes

With no TC, Ramsay and Chambers will get forward for hopefully decent crosses for Miles and Lyndon.

I believe the modern term is 'doubling down' - NJ has double downed on defence - i think its what's killed us - u cannot go out for 45 /60 minutes with absolutely no threat going forwards - this will be an attack v defence exercise and if by some miracle we haven't let one in with 15 to go we may put campbell on - hope NJ is right and this keeps us up - not the way i'd go but we shall see - carey and 2 target men is our attack - mmmm - let one in early and the whole game plan goes down the toilet. COYR!!!!

I thinks it’s more a case of trying to not have a repeat of last week.

the only bright spot for me last week was seeing TC back up top - that and watching coburn prove what a donkey he is

Coady can't play as the defensive midfielder can he 🤷🏻‍♂️

Carey needs to shoot on sight when he gets within 20 yards.

Not saying this is a must win game, but Leicester are bang average (form) and if we are to pick up any wins (and we need a lot), this has to be a game aimed at picking up 3 points. I watched Leicester v Oxford and Oxford were average, but somehow worked harder and hit them in the break.

If we are to beat Leicester, I think that puts us back in the survival pack and takes any momentum away from them (losing to a poor side, us).

Not sure how we can claim any points anywhere at the moment, but if survival is going to be a realistic prospect, then NJ needs to keep it tight at the back (which has slipped) because we sure as hell can't score many with our front guys.

The newbies need to perform beyond their lackluster reputations or price tags.

0-1 (TC) and the dream of staying up continues.
We don't need 'a lot' of wins.  6 out of 18 games, 1/3 which by anyones estimates is not a lot, especially with our home form and teams to come.

This site has become hysterical over the last week due to events.  I do not want to go back to league one as much as anyone and the football has been beyond frustrating at times, but there is no need for hyperbolic over reactions.  If I was a Sheff Wed, Portsmouth or Oxford fan, (and even blackburn and WBA) I would have entitlement to be so reactionary, especially those established championship / ex-prem club.

I also think we might get something from the game tomorrow, esepcially if Bell is back as suggested above.
5 out of 17 required.  Still ‘a lot’.
