Wolves close to agreeing a deal with Southampton for Adam Armstrong too.1

Palace selling Mateta for 26m and buying Strand-Larsen for 48m is appalling business16

Wolves in the position where they actually can plan ahead and start putting the pieces in place to bounce straight back.1

I don't know how much they tend to spend in premier league summers, but just have a feeling they will spend big this summer before championship season begins.WattsTheMatter said:Wolves getting Angel Gomes on loan, with a €7m option in the summer.
Whilst it hasn't worked out at Marseille, that's potentially one of the best players in the championship if they sign him permanently.0 -
There owners seem to have lost the plot lately, sold decent players and manager.fenaddick said:Palace selling Mateta for 26m and buying Strand-Larsen for 48m is appalling business0 -

Colchester’s Kyreece Lisbie rumoured to be off to Reading. Obviously Colchester can’t exactly turn down money but would they be countenancing losing him and Mbick on deadline day? Maybe they’ve heard Mbick isn’t for sale?1

Oddly enough we enquired about him about 4 years agoMarcusH26 said:https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/city-complete-signing-of-mohamed-toure

I sent a report in to Steve Gallen and we looked into him but couldn’t secure a work permit at the time and didn’t have the money to sign him.I brought him back up to Charlie a couple of years ago when he playing in France but his club wanted him to get more experience before they would consider selling him.Blisteringly fast and was tall and slim but I think has filled out now. Was very raw but had the physical attributes. Not too dissimilar Irankunda at Watford who we also couldn’t afford.
there’s some interesting talent in Australia tbf. It’s often a bit raw10 -
Ademola Lookman seems to be on the move. Does anyone know if we are entitled to any payment?0

Pompey seem to love scouting in Australia. Brought over 4-5 Aussies in the past couple of seasons with varying levels of success. Probably see it as still being good value on a lower budget Vs going domestic.Swisdom said:

Bristol City are having an awful window. Losing Mehmeti to a parachute payment team like Ipswich is one thing, but losing a player to the Hollywood club will hurt more.fenaddick said:Wrexham sign Zak Vyner from Bristol City

it is but the problems for Palace were:fenaddick said:Palace selling Mateta for 26m and buying Strand-Larsen for 48m is appalling business
a) Mateta said he wanted to leave and in the summer would only have 1 year left on his deal.
b) Wolves didn't need to sell JSL and knew Palace were desperate.
So as a result they've had to take what they can get for Mateta and overpay for JSL. Not ideal for them.
To be honest i think Mateta is overrated, quite a few times i've seen him and he misses easy chances. Might do ok in Italy though as the league isn't as good and even Hojlund is scoring goals there.1 -

Ipswich are looking to sign Richard Kone from QPR...Hasn't done much different compared to Kelman, just has his pace, but be nice for QPR to lose him ahead of Friday2
-
Weird one. Has been overshadowed by Burrell and I'm not convinced he's actually that good?ForeverAddickted said:Ipswich are looking to sign Richard Kone from QPR...Hasn't done much different compared to Kelman, just has his pace, but be nice for QPR to lose him ahead of Friday3 -
He's played for Wycombe and QPR this season so wouldn't be able to play for them yet.ForeverAddickted said:Ipswich are looking to sign Richard Kone from QPR...Hasn't done much different compared to Kelman, just has his pace, but be nice for QPR to lose him ahead of Friday3 -

Kone isnt that good. Was shocked when he went to QPR and the money they paid for him. Jones had him in his pocket for both play off games at least.
I initially wasnt sold on Kelman but genuinely believe we got the better overall player.2 -
Been mentioned elsewhere but JRS seems to be off to Stoke on loan. Two interesting things, it's a straight loan with no buy option when it was widely known that Palace wanted an £8m option in there and he turned down Millwall so the boy has some taste at least3

The only way he would have ended up at Wallll is if they sold Azeez.fenaddick said:Been mentioned elsewhere but JRS seems to be off to Stoke on loan.
