England win by 4 runs. Too close for comfort and a lesson for us not to underestimate anyone.

Curran one of the very few to take any credit from that. Quality death bowling.

Death bowler that can only bowl wides haha.

    Embarrassment.

A death bowler that can use his brain in Sam Curran.

Who is co commentating with Nas?
I think it's Andrew Leonard who covers a lot of associate cricket
Enjoyed his commentary. He does offer an insight into those players and teams that aren't on the top circuit.

Thank you Sam Curran for trying to bowl into the block hole and seeing sense when everyone lost their heads.

Nepal were brilliant today and nearly climbed that mountain and that was such an exciting match.

Big problems going forward with Archer and Rashid being hammered and Wood who bowls so many wides under pressure.

Dawson and Curran the pick of the Bowlers and Jacks got a vital wicket in his 2 overs.

Seeing CL members wanting England to lose doesn't surprise me.

Rashid, archer and wood really let us down there. Well done Curran. Some sense by a bowler.

I never want England to lose but ultimately I'm a fan of cricket and if that means our pampered lot get shown up by a smaller nation then to me that's all good. For the sake of the game.

That's your opinion and you are fully entitled to it.
But I hate England losing at cricket full stop.

Looking back on that ..what a great game of cricket! The enthusiasm of the Nepalese supporters, the standard of cricket from Nepal and the Surrey players made it a brilliant spectacle.

Dawson was excellent in his 4 overs after Rashid who is our most experienced  20/20 bowler was hit for 42 from just 3 overs and Archer 42 from 4 overs.

Lots of thinking before England's next game as other teams will see our how the premier fast and Slow bowler's were taken for so many runs.

I think the difference between Dawson and the other two is that he is a defensive bowler who will try and stop the opposition from scoring.

Dawson's response to being hit is to fire it in even quicker. Rashid, because he turns it both ways, is an attacker who will throw a ball up and invite the batter to take it on. Invariably he gets the man doing so and that, in turn, stops the run rate from escalating. Perhaps in situations such as today he needs to be a bit more defensive at times in the knowledge that the batter is in that frame of mind of taking him on whatever he delivers.

Sri Lanka contrived to not hit a boundary since the final ball of the power play - some 56 balls in total. For a nation reared on spin, they have been absolutely hopeless at finding any power or gaps.

Irelands fielding letting them off the hook though 🫣

Ireland's bowling and fielding has totally fallen apart. How about this for a death over - the 19th over, bowled by McCarthy:

    4 & no ball
    wide
    wide
    6
    2
    wide
    2
    wicket
    wicket
    wide

What i dont quite understand is...
Isnt the free-hit a ball not to be counted? - in that case, he only bowled a legitimate 5 ball over?

The free hit is counted as a delivery - the batter just can't get out (unless run out). It is the one that gave rise to the "no ball" that didn't count as a ball bowled and neither did the two subsequent wides of course - with the "free hit" becoming the one that went for 6. So, the deliveries that counted were the 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 11th
