England win the toss and will bat against the heavyweights of world cricket, Nepal. Team as announced.

Earlier NZ beat Afghanistan by 5 wickets with 13 balls remaining.

Wood for Overton a little surprising - unless injured of course.

Stuart Law is the Nepal coach. For those that don't remember him, Law is an Australian who played for Essex, Lancashire and Derbyshire.

During his career, Law hit 27,080 FC runs including 79 hundreds and 128 fifties at an average of 50.52. For all of that, such was the strength of the Australian batting at the time, Law played just one Test match in which he batted the once and scored 54 not out. Nowadays, some players are selected for England if they can contrive to scrape an average 30. How times have changed.

Salt caught out for 4 in the second over, Bethall came in and hit 14 off the remaining 5 balls of the over

It is and it isn't. With this line up, Overton should not be needed with the bat and he was poor in the final two games against Sri Lanka with the ball returning 2-0-30-0 and 1-0-14-0 respectively. Wood, in his only game bowled well with figures of 2-0-13-1 and can also open the bowling and bowl at the death.

Nepal have a mountain to climb to beat England but they have bought a ticket in the lottery that is 20/20 cricket.

I think it's Andrew Leonard who covers a lot of associate cricket

Yes, quite a hero figure in Nepalese cricket, apparently

I don't usually get involved at that sort of price but it's probably about right i.e. no real value. Even if we "only" get 160 then I don't think Nepal should be capable of getting near that.

I've had one overall bet on Nepal and that is Rohit Paudel to be their top batter over the course of the tournament at 10/3

Archer is seen coming out with a handkerchief to stem the flow of his nosebleed as a result of being elevated to bat at 8

Smashing last over from Will Jacks and 9.25 isn't too shabby even though England were looking like they might hit 200 before a slight stumble over a few overs around the 15 mark.

A game of jeopardy is this format but with Jacks coming in deep in the order, we will be disappointed if we don't win by at least 30 runs.

He certainly did but what a difference between Archers 1st over going for 14 and his 2nd over going for 3 and a miss field made that 3. Changed ends and the excellent wicket taking over from Dawson helped.

Jacks takes the 2nd wicket and Will is having a good day.
    Thank goodness for Surrey 👏🏻

    85-2 (10)

At the same stage England were 84-3 but Nepal shouldn't have the capability of getting 100 in the final half against our bowling and with the ball now gripping.

Only just realised this was on today.

Think we'll lose it looking at the last 5 overs. Not using this as an excuse but don't think its "fair" to be using the same wicket as a previous match yesterday.

Are we about to witness a low point in English Cricket?

Off the back of the Ashes it feels a bit bleak currently.

Excellent 3rd over from Archer to push the rate up to over 11.
