He's an absolute joke of a player, never seen talent like it!
did I read somewhere that he's only 14?

Yes, there's lots of comments about his age on this site.

He's not but there has not been an official correction. It also makes him a much bigger story to be just 14 but that shouldn't detract from him being accepted as an exceptional and rare talent. In an interview in 2023, he said "I'll turn 15 on September 27th". So he's actually 17.

    171-3 (20)

241 needed off 30 overs at a RR of 8.03

Mayes 45 (28) and Rew 31 (18) both now out

Dawkins still there on 65* (54) and all the time he is still there, we have hope especially as India at the same point were 167-2

Dawkins goes two balls later for 66 (56). Game over I fear now.

Swiftly followed by Ralphie Albert snookering himself in being run out for a duck. Grandad, Jimmy White, will not be amused.

Sounds like it should be out but with ultra slow motion it's given as not a catch
Nah, he grassed the ball as he rolled over.  Not out.

It's Collapso Cricket from us. Farhan caught behind for 1 (2). We've gone from 174-3 to 177-6.

Edit - Morgan out for a two ball duck. We've lost 4 wickets for 3 runs.

You'll be lucky to finish that pint before the game ends.

The female commentator on TMS has just said "England have a huge task ahead now"...
    Delusional..Understatement to say the least..

I think it was Lydia Greenway formerly of Kent and England. I thought that at the time but, to be fair to her, she's probably trying not to be too critical given the abuse Alex Hartley, for example, received for saying something that wasn't welcomed by the men. We also hear male commentators like Nasser Hussain and Nick Knight being more lenient when they might be a lot harsher on certain aspects of the Women's game i.e. their fielding in recent tournaments.

As it happens, though, if Lydia said that now it wouldn't be so "huge" a task.

    Minto caught for 28 (41)

292-8 and requiring another 143 at a RR of 9.75. Falconer still there on 76* (47).

    Lumsden out

    281-9 (38)

Poor Falconer is on 86 (53) and destined not to get his ton in a WC final

Dawkins and Falconer were both born in South Africa. We should keep that quiet in case they come calling for the two in the same way we shouldn't tell anyone that the two Rews were born in Lambeth because we just know who will be trying to lure them away from Somerset.

Congratulations to Caleb Falconer. The highest score by a minor character in a Dickensian countryside novel.
