Fancy a 2-1 win - JRS bound to score against us, fancy TC and Carey to shine for us. Could do with Burke and Leaburn for additional height and physicality but who knows where they are at?

    Kaminsky
    Ramsay  Jones   Bell
    Clarke  Coady Docherty Chambers
    Carey
    Dykes TC

Substitutes: Mannion, Gillesphey, Sichenje, Fevrier,  JRC, Coventry, Berry, Kelman, Godden

If Jes is going to score against us, we’ve got our own ex-Potter to step up and smash home the winner…step forward @bobmunro your time has come  🙌🏻🙌🏻😉

Sadly the passing years have dulled my abilities. Back in my youth I could definitely have made it as a professional footballer at the highest level if it wasn't for one limiting factor - a lack of ability.

I am and always have been built for rugby - although on reflection, perhaps a tackle on JRS from a former tighthead prop may do the trick!
  • Worth remembering that the game this Wednesday night will not be on Sky Sports Plus, as its a re-arranged Saturday game, so if you're not in attendance, you'll need to rely on Nord VPN for a CharltonTV match pass. Should also point out that the Portsmouth game next Wednesday will be available to watch on Sky Sports Plus, as despite being a re-arranged Saturday fixture, that game was originally selected for TV Coverage.
    It is on Sky

They are a set piece nightmare and think Ramsay might get ruined in the air from them
If we're going to leave out Ramsay I'd rather see Burke in his place. I don't think Coady has the pace to play RCB.
Good call - I forgot about Burke

1-0 or a 0-0 . If we do nick the win I’m going for a Kellman goal.

I know the feeling Bob. A few years ago I had a first meeting with the Managing Partner of one of my law firms in London. We got talking about sport, including rugby, to which he said “you must have been a hooker, right”.  I said “is that your polite way of saying I’m a bit of a fat bastard?”.  “Well, I didn’t call you a prop!!” came his response 😏🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Did he sign a one or two year deal?  Really hope it’s one.  Need to be moving him on in the summer.  Ridiculous signing for the money he’s on

Yea that does seem to be a little high for someone who's played 3-4 games

You're excused. The bloke is injured so much it is very easy to forget about him.

I would imagine that’s highly unlikely but a ten minutes cameo off the bench might be a good idea.

Godden is our best striker so as far as i am concerned if he's fit he should start. The decision then is who plays with him, probably Kelman or Dykes
He didn't look fit when he came on v QPR.
    He looked slow and stiff.
    Oh Matron!!!

    • Charlton Athletic have lost just one of their last eight home league meetings with Stoke City (W5 D2), winning their only two this century: 1-0 in January 2008 and 3-1 in August 2019.
    • Stoke City have won just one of their last eight away games against Charlton Athletic (D2 L5), a 2-1 victory in January 1997 under Lou Macari thanks to a Mike Sheron brace. Overall, they’ve won each of their last two league games against them, previously winning three in a row in January 1997.
    • Charlton Athletic won nine of 10 midweek league games (Tue/Wed/Thu) between Boxing Day 2024 and November 2025 (D1), but are winless in their four since (D1 L3).
    • Stoke City have won just one of their last 41 league games in London (D14 L26) – a run that stretches back to December 2014 – beating Queens Park Rangers 2-0 in December 2021.
    • Charlton manager Nathan Jones has lost five of his six previous league games against former club Stoke City, with the exception a 2-1 away win with Luton Town in February 2022.

Hope Miles is back up front with Lyndon, I think we need to be physical and aggressive as they've got some very decent players and now have JRS as well.

Ex player curse I fear. JRS to run rings round our defence.

We have to.score first to win this one. And it is a must win game if we want to put distance between us & the bottom 3. But having only scored 3 goals in the first 30 mins in games so far this season I see another nervy game ahead.

    0-2. JRS double.

By most accounts JRS had a piss-poor game against WBA on Saturday - no reason to fear him.
I think we nick it 1-0 - Jones from a corner late on.
