She continues to embarrass herself. I wouldn't have her anywhere near a TV studio or Commentary Gantry.

She's basically a female Sol Campbell.

    Simon Jordan  to Eni Aluko:

"The sheer weight of the entitlement that you seem to believe you have would re-sink the Titanic."

    😂
He’s messed up the delivery of that zinger hasn’t he?!

    Fair play!

Incredible lack of awareness and false-logic. Imagine actually believing this as a pundit and claiming every player was as good as their teammates.
Yeah, I was lucky and got work for a while so I must be great.

Les Reed: "I was a Premier League manager at the same time as people considered brilliant Premier League managers, by default I must be a brilliant Premier League manager."

I did enjoy her contacting Ian Wright's agent to ask for Ian Wright's help in her keeping the job, about two months after saying Ian Wright's getting work is the reason she didn't and he shouldn't be there.

Can imagine how long the agent thought about whether to help after hanging up.

Okay but has anyone compared her to a female Sol Campbell yet?

Didn't Wrighty pay for a players ACL surgery and rehab out of his own pocket? Just seems so weird that he's constantly dragged into this by Aluko.

She should start posting on CL with her false logic.  :)
She believes everything she says is fact, talks quite a bit of sense, but often comes up with the wrong conclusion.

She really doesn't get it.... In my opinion she has a chip the size of the grand canyon and needs some humility. Definitely the wrong show to go on... Who advised that?
  • I got the impression that people were pulling their punches around her as they knew how badly constructive criticism would be taken. Then when they didn't continue to use her, it came as a shock. The sense of entitlement in that interview was astonishing.

TV is a brutal world. I always thought our very own Scott Minto was unlucky to be dropped by Sky, he seemed a very capable presenter.

Seems she's making a reasonable point about the history of commentary in the women's game based on her experience and in the aftermath of the case against Barton. I think it's disingenuous to make it her versus Wright.  He was used as an example that it seems she herself didn't cite but the radio4 interviewer did.

Then you have the daily mail sharpening the situation as a bust up as they are prone to do, and a pile on on here. A lot about nothing much imo, and good luck to her in making her point, using her platform, and earning a living.
If she hasn't been singling Wright out, why did she apologise to him for here previous remarks?

Always thought she was pretty good when she was first on the scene. She makes some valid points but just doesn’t go about it the right way in doing so sometimes. She’s become an easy target now and people are desperate to take anything she says out of context.

Agree with this. She doesn't help herself but her mistakes get picked apart much more than when her colleagues make mistakes. That said, her constant going after male pundits is really stupid. It didn't work with Wright the first time around, it won't work with Nedum Onuoha (who is fantastic) and it won't work with Wright again.

She like many pundits is unlikable and poor at the job. For me it's as simple as that.

Eni Aluko is in the same club as Rory Jennings, speaks with a tone of superiority and condescension on football when they are in a room often surrounded by people with a huge amount more knowledge and ability.

Sadly for her she has handled the whole situation around her employment terribly and now finds herself a laughing stock.

Its always the most stupid who make the most noise, she talks loads but makes so little sense.

She has clearly been educated, in the same way the cast of the only way is Essex are all overly educated thickos

The lack of anything resembling self-awareness is hilarious. Imagine for a second the thunderous noise if those she had asked for feedback were not gracious and just.... nice to her and were honest instead
  • At one point she claimed that she isn't bothered about not being a pundit any more and spends a lot of time out of the country "working on other things".

Why are you on talksport moaning about it then?

The problem is, I suspect comfortably more people enjoy listening to Ian Wright. I don't really enjoy Aluko's insights and I think she doesn't demonstrate a strong knowledge of the game. But that is just my opinion. It isn't because she is a woman as I think there are some decent women commentators/pundits. Some male pundits are better to listen to than others. I enjoy Gary Neville's contributions, I am not such a fan of Ally McCoist but we will all have our preferences. What the TV company has to do is make a decision based on what is best for their ratings. I think that is what has happened and pundits get dropped. Look at Mark Lawrenson for example. Both male and female pundits are entitled to be annoyed when they are dropped and think it is the wrong decision, but they have to acknowledge it is a business decision right or wrong.

I've met plenty of people with honours degrees in law, business and finance who were as thick as pigshit.

Makes no differnc to me. She is an awful pundit.

If she was any good, TV companies would be lining up for her if ITV do not want her. Or she could set up her own podcast. But at this point that has not happened and you suspect if she did set up her own podcast the numbers would reflect what the public really think

Has anyone ever met anyone who says they like her on punditry because I certainly have not
