they went for Frank cos he was the cheaper option than Glasner , tight cnuts , buy cheap buy twice ffs he was doing a fine job
West Ham or them down was a tough one
id Probably choose spurs to go down cos they have more cnuts in their fan base

Could see Spurs doing the same as United and getting an interim and then looking at who's available after the World Cup (Pochettino for one?).
God, you only had to listen to Poch and Jesus on the High Performance pod this week to know they would come back in a bloody heartbeat.

We need him back now, not in the summer.

Only way it happens if we employ an interim but who on earth do you get that guarantees safety.  I don't think you can.  Had Mason still been at the club, I could have seen that but as he's currently unemployed after leaving West Brom (and look at the state they are in right now!) I'm not sure that will placate the fans tbh.

Dare I say bit of a coincidence De Zerbi left Marseille by mutual consent last night?
Not sure he is the right fit either tbh.

I'll be totally honest, other than saying Poch, who actually gets what the club is about, I couldn't tell you who should be the next manager or who we should go for.

    Spurs need divine intervention now...

Eni Aluko has thrown her name into the hat.

De Zerbi would be an awful appointment I think - I don't rate him that much anyway and think he was lucky to go into a very well run club with young talent at Brighton, and couldn't even get Marseille out of the CL group stage this season which is pretty easy.

But more than that he's just the wrong type of manager to come in mid-season - he tries to be innovative and that's better with a pre-season, a transfer window etc.

On the recommendation of Ian Wright
  • Spurs need an interim for now, and then review it in the summer when plenty of big name managers will be available.

    Poch, Tuchel, Ancelotti, Glasner.

If the Spurs board want to get the fans back onside then Pochettino would probably be the best option i think.

    Is that the Poch who...

Never won a thing at Spurs despite having prime Kane and Son
Came third when in a two horse race with Leicester for the title
Stank out the Champions League final
Was manager of PSG in the only season they failed to win Ligue 1 in the last 8 years ?

There is some truth in this.

I would say that Spurs were screwed over by the refs in the Champions League final. That handball penalty call was ridiculous

Alternatively you could argue that having Spurs in a title race and reaching the CL final were big overachievements.

Spurs' 3 highest league finishes in the last 35 years were all under his management.

So is that bloke going to get his haircut finally after the Man U game tonight do we reckon?
Was probably the perfect time to happen - he's made money, so has a charity, but would have been before people get bored of it and the trolls etc come out online.

If it goes on much longer he'll start getting a load of "bored of this c**t now" type stuff IMHO.
It'll be like Bart, when he became the "I didn't do it!" boy.

Poch was crap tho wasn't he?

*Edit, he'd probably do ok in the Championship though

You can put a spin on it either way - he also took over a team that had just finished 9th and got them consistently in the top 4, reached their first ever CL, brought Kane into the team, bought Son etc.

As always, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

And without a shadow of a doubt, Spurs played by far their best football under him that I'd watched in 35-40 years since the Pleat side of 86-87.  That alone stands out in my mind.

Can see this being an interim before trying to get Andoni Iraola in the summer.

Interim feels dangerous. They are genuinely relegation battle.

De Zerbi or Iraola feel like the exact type of manager they’ll go for.

Glad Frank has gone. Fecking hate him and his fecking white board bollix.
100% he’ll end up at Palar5e and I can hate him even more.

Our household is going to be awful come the end of the season……….bring out the gin!!!!!

The only thing I potentially have with Iraola is would Spurs back him to revamp the squad to play his way if he wanted to go and get someone like Alex Scott for the middle of the park.

Iraola feels a better fit than Frank and De Zerbi. Frank seemed to want to keep his small club mindset, Iraola feels like someone who could embrace it. De Zerbi is far too grumpy and would criticise the board too much

Hated him ever since his Brentford side bottled promotion against Barnsley and relegated us.

Hasn't Poch been pretty useless since he left Spurs. I'd take Glasner over him
  • Michael Dawson has advised he thinks Tim Sherwood would make a good interim.

Failed to add "if they want to ensure relegation" though.

Iraola is just Frank again, small prem club punching above their weight because it's all clicked with the manager and players. Spurs should steer clear
  • Eni Aluko has thrown her name into the hat.
With Sol Campbell as her number 2.

I have visions of Spurs hiring Iraola, and then signing the wrong Alex Scott.

Maybe that would please Eni Aluko?

    Nah - Forest are down

Spurs and West Ham stay up
If they sack Dyche they'll stay up imo
