It’s not scoring goals that has been there problem though. If they don’t sort out there defence, I think they could be in big trouble.
Not saying they are better than us or will finish higher than us......but I don't think they are as bad as some are making out.
They may have quality players but I have no doubt that we have a better team in the intangible sense of squad cohesion and effort and belief. There was nothing about them that suggests they can scrap/fluke out a few lucky results and turn that into a new run of form, which we could, and have.
Quite a lot of Leicester fans on twitter seem to think they're already doomed. Can't keep a clean sheet, no fight in the side and a tough run of games coming up.
That said, if they can suddenly get 1-2 wins, the mood changes pretty quickly (as we saw with us after Millwall).
I think they'll always be in games with the attacking quality they have but they're defensively a mess and they just don't seem up for the fight down there. Go behind and it feels like they're beaten.
They'll probably get something out of the Stoke game purely because of Stokes injuries but then have Boro, Norwich , Ipswich and Bristol City before the Jekyll and Hyde of the division in QPR.
Still have Wednesday and Pompey to play before potentially a winner stays up final day shootout at Blackburn.0 -
Unless they suddenly find a backbone, Leicester are down.
They have 7 home games and 7 away games remaining. Considering they have lost their last 3 home games to Southampton, us and Oxford I don't think that the toxic atmosphere at the King Power is going to help them. The average league position of the teams that they are still to play at home is 10th. The average position of the 3 teams that they have just lost to at home is 17th and would probably have been lower at the time of playing.
The average league position of their away opposition is better at 13.5 but is improved by their final 3 away games, when the opposition are currently sat at 24th, 21st and 19th, respectively. I think those games might be too late for them.
Their remaining games include 4 of the top 6; 5 of the top 7; 6 of the top 9. I don't think that they will be relishing these games.0 -
Oxford are playing Stoke, West Brom and Blackburn as part of their next 5 games.0

I don't think anyone is ever gone. One win feels like it completely changes the landscape and the mentality. Not too long ago we were wondering where our next win was coming from and people were posting on match threads that we were down. A couple of wins and some think we're safe already. Blackburn were down and weren't winning again until they beat QPR and now they're a worry. It only takes one win to put the fear back in, I think we just need to focus on getting those 4 wins and not worry about the rest of the table23

Leicester still need to find a manager. Under caretaker Andy King they've lost 4 in a row, 3 in the league.
The right appointment could turn things around, as they still have some talent. Imagine Neil Warnock with those players.1 -

Leicester will appoint Rowett and stay up. Then be boring to watch next season and will sack him by January. Someone else will then appoint Rowett to keep them up.
Oxford will go down after sacking Rowett and will not bounce back next season.4 -

Can’t see us catching either of those two. Two great teams and a great advert for the championship. This is what we have to aspire to if we want to get out of this league without going through the lottery of the play offs. I don't think it has smarty pants - the fact your lot are up there with such a lack of goals (apart from against our reserves a couple of weeks ago) in the team proves proves the point - its taken u 9 years to build that solid but dull team. The fact burnley are coming straight back down without a whimper shows how you can defend your way through the championship but not the premiership. And let's not start on about the likes of Luton. When we romped to the Championship title in the 99/00 season, we stayed up comfortably. oh, and just a reminder - 141 years - won nothing and only 2 years in the top division and you could still only pull a crowd of 15000 against Arsenal. Your having a good run but smallwall really shouldn't be lecturing us about the quality of the top 2 divisionsMillwallFan said:
