It’s unusual for us to play twice in a few days. Come on the game changers!

Why do we keep shooting along the floor from range on a waterlogged pitch

Increasingly an issue in the WSL 2 that defenders randomly go down when their opposition are attacking so the ref stops play

Although that does seem a genuine injury to be fair

Given the atrocious first half I'll take a draw

Well they should feel relieved they got a point. Not their best performance, but every point important  to keep the promotion charge going.

Take the point, great header from Kenney too!

Poor performance however, and just don’t seem to have any ‘second gear’ to move into- would have been 11pts clear had we won.

Minimum of a net 7 point lead with 6 games to play. It's a Charlton team so any level of screw up is possible, but it's a very strong position to be in

Unbeaten still. We love a draw re the lowly ones.

    Who’s off to Selhurst?

You don’t have to be a mathematical genius to work out that 29th March at Selhurst Park could be a big day for the still unbeaten Charlton Athletic Women.

Unfortunately, it looks like we’re going to have to purchase tickets direct from Palace. To buy a ticket you must login or register an account before you click the button to buy tickets. Login/ Register is top right on the landing page. We wish all Addicks good Fortune when they ask us to create passwords.

It would be great for us Addicks to sit together. We recommend Charlton supporters purchase tickets in B block of the Main Stand as that has been designated for away fans  Link to purchase here Let’s make our presence felt.

Watch this space and social media for more information on how we can come together to make some noise. Ready to put the ‘up’ in ‘Up the Addicks’ everyone?

    The grind continues.

Once again the lesser lights in this division cause us the most problems. Although Ipswich have improved over the course of the season – Princess Ademiluyi in particular was a real handful when she came on – they're still a fairly limited side who nonetheless made us look very ordinary. Katie Bradley nearly scored from a free kick we all thought Jodie Hutton was going to take, Karin Muya could only find the side netting after a quick counter-attack and Lucy Fitzgerald saw a looping header hit the bar, but our attacks only came in fits and starts. The Ipswich penalty may have been harsh (Elisha N'Dow certainly thought she got the ball), but we couldn't complain too much about being behind at half-time.

We had a brief flurry at the start of the second half, but we still struggled to create chances. Ipswich might even have doubled their lead as we failed to deal with several crosses into the box, and Sophie Whitehouse had to pull off one fine save. Then, with the only bit of real quality we showed all game, Charlotte Newsham's cross from the right was met by Gillian Kenney, whose header nestled into the bottom corner. We pushed for a winner without ever really looking like getting it, and a draw was probably a fair result.

I thought Katie Lockwood battled well when she came on, but apart from her no one can say they played particularly well. The main positive is that we remain unbeaten, once again showing real character to dig deep in awful conditions and get a point. The other is that, after Oxford United in the cup on Sunday, we have a 3-week break before our next league game – a much-needed chance to rest and regroup ahead of the run-in.

Oxford Utd also played tonight and won 1-0, I think they had someone sent off. Not sure if that trasnfers over to this weekend or not?

We just cannot beat the worst teams. Kind of bodes well for if we do get promoted because there aren’t any Ipswiches up there. Probably have a perfect season. The important thing is we didn’t lose and it’s another point gained in the march to the finish. Does make you wonder how many more goals we could have had this season if we’d played Kenney instead of persisting relentlessly with Thestrup though

  • 10 points from 6 games, 3 of which are against teams who have a realistic shot at going up themselves. It gets slightly easier if Birmingham get a result off Newcastle on 18 March, or if anyone else does us a favour.

    15 Mar: Sunderland, home
    22 Mar: Bristol City, away
    29 Mar: Crystal Palace, away
04 Apr: Portsmouth, home (FA Cup permitting)
    26 Apr: Southampton, away
    03 May: Birmingham City, home

The Portsmouth game is postponed if we're in the FA Cup quarter final. There are no weekends left that aren't part of an international break and the Birmingham game on 3 (or maybe 2) May is the end of the season with all teams playing at the same time. So another midweek game in that case.

Probably being very dumb here but what does this mean?

We are 9 points clear of 2nd, and 10 points clear of 3rd. If Birmingham win their game in hand we are 6 points clear.

I really still want to do Bristol away but it’s all dependent on how my sister is after her surgery (cancer), I might be needed there.
I really don’t want to go to Selhurst as I vowed after Dennis in the last minute that would be the last time I set foot in that dump. Complete PTSD!

Be great if we can get a few hundred to this!
A great game to watch as a derby alone, add to the fact we could confirm promotion there too!!
