Both clubs are bigger than Charlton (even if it's marginal) and I've been to Sheffield many a time and always found it more than decent.

Sheffield is certainly a decent city, with plenty of good people. Lived in Leeds for 3 years and frequently went to and from. Also have some friends that are Londoners and have adopted Sheffield as their home and are raising families etc and very happy.

From my experiences, every club and city has its wrongn's - it has always seemed to me the majority of those sheffield wrongn's associate themselves with United rather than Wednesday and there are quite a lot of them.

Acqusition budget for this season, we were mid-table, with Portsmouth signifcantly below spending around 3.5m
For salary budgets, we are 2nd bottom, but very marginal compared for Portsmoth. Overall, we have spent more on salary + acqusition than a number of clubs.

Think it’s also important to consider though that all these clubs have had years and years of championship wages and spending, where we had the likes of Duchatelet and TS cost cutting at every possible step. It would realistically take us years of higher investment to even balance out with most clubs at this level

Stephen Mfuni - a young (18) left sided defender on loan at Watford from Man City. Looks very good here, but admittedly everyone does in highlights packages. You never know how these players will fare in their first proper foray into men’s football; this lad looks like a seasoned pro, so composed. We have had a real mixed (mostly bad) bag in recent years!

You’d have to guess that as long as things go well Watford would be favourites to get him again if he goes out on loan in the Summer.

Isnt the acquisition budget fairly meaningless for comparisons, that just shows they didn't spend much, which can be interpreted as they didn't need to, rather than using it as a way of attaching some kind of handicap.

Surely you need to take into account outgoings (general) for acquisitions and salaries to get a full picture of ‘budget’. Nearly all businesses base their budget on an annual period, all running (salaries) and one off (acquisition) costs so seems an overall fairer reflection of spend than just saying we have the 2nd lowest budget in the league (which we don’t if you take into account salary + acquisition costs). In fact this makes us closer to mid table.

Would expect Blackburn to pick up three points against a Bristol City side who, like Preston, seem a bit meh whenever I see them.

On paper you would hope Wrexham, Boro and Stoke do the business but this is the Championship and we see the form book ripped up every week

Stoke are terrible at the moment. Oxford will fancy their chances of getting something out of that game.

Relegated us from the Prem on the final day of the 98/99 season and were complete cunts about it. Also were completely unbearable when we won League 1 in 11/12 as if they had the divine right to walk the league.

After their game away to Middlesbrough, 3 of the next 4 games Leicester play at home.

If they are going to get out of trouble I would think this is the time for them to climb the table.

It's going to be a very interesting last two games of the season down in the relegation zone.

I'm expecting Boro to lose to Leicester & for at least one other team below us to win.

3 hard games coming us for us after tonight......and then its Oxford away. If tonight's not a must win then the Oxford match will be.

Shame we've got a couple of tougher games at the Valley coming up, otherwise Stoke losing vs. Oxford tonight might not be a bad thing... The latter are far enough back not to overly cause a concern, whilst the former are only three points above us, and given their form... Could easily be dragged back yet.

QPR are probably lucky they're only 3-pts from the 50-mark, otherwise their form could have seen them pulled back into it as well - But then they're a weird / classic perenial Championship team that just does enough to avoid relegation
