Brook, in the ring, drops a full blooded drive off the bowling of Dawson that goes through his hands for a boundary0
-
Excellent over from Dawson rewarded by having Usman caught on the boundary by Overton
146-6 (17.4)0 -
Picking up wickets at the right times here. Dawson appears to be doing well today.0
-
And then Dawson has Nawaz trapped the very next ball LBW. Batter reviews but merely ensures that Pakistan have now lost both their reviews. Dawson on a hat-trick.0
-
Dawson's hat-trick ball to Shaheen results in a single. Dawson finishes with excellent figures of 4-0-24-3
147-7 (18)1 -
excellent bowling from Dawson0
-
Dawson finishes with 3 for 24
Excellent figures0 -
Great spell by Dawson0

How on earth Dawson hasn't been a mainstay of our T20 side I don't know. Class act and has been for years.
Would still like to see him bat higher than 10 though.5 -
Good catch by Curran on the square-leg boundary off Archer to get Shaheen
149-8 (18.3)0 -

Pakistan finish on 164-9. That's probably 10 short of what they would have wanted but then they should be thankful for England giving them at least 15 runs in the field.1
-
Those extras could become crucial..0

Time for Buttler to come to the party.2
-
Many have said so. It's that thing called central contracts. Not having one means that England will always look to those that have been given one and he, in turn and quite rightly, without that "insurance", do what's best for him and his family. There then becomes a rift.MarcusH26 said:How on earth Dawson hasn't been a mainstay of our T20 side I don't know. Class act and has been for years.

I still think he should have been in the Ashes squad. Yes he won't take many Test wickets, but on non turning pitches can hold an end and score useful runs. Especially as we ended up playing Jacks.2
-
It is indeed. He has, in recent times, left it to Salt to tee off in the power play but we really need a big one because that will ease the scoreboard pressure for later. An early six might free him up too.blackpool72 said:Time for Buttler to come to the party.1 -
Yeah it's just one of those selections that when we've been throwing darts at a wall spinner wise for the past few years has been a bit baffling.Addick Addict said:

I can't blame him at all for not wanting to go to the subcontinent and carry drinks when he can make really good money going to the SA20 and tournaments like that.1 -
Salt goes first ball - caught behind off Shaheen0
-
Interesting - Brook has come in at 3 rather than Bethell0

That's Salt in the wound1
-
Fair play to Brook - showing a bit of leadership coming in second ball1
-
He won't be peppering the stands with sixes today.CaptainRobbo said:That's Salt in the wound1 -
Quite like Brook at 3.0
-
As I sId on Sunday, Buttler needs to be dropped. Give Salt the gloves2

So out of touch it's ridiculous he's still in 5he sideblackpool72 said:Time for Buttler to come to the party.1 -
Buttler HAS to be dropped. Remove sentimentality.1
-
Buttler goes for 2 (3). Fishes twice to Shaheen and is caught behind the second time. He either has to be dropped or, as I suggested in the last game, batting down the order and allowing Banton to move back up. His problem is the moving ball with his feet stuck in concrete. Coming in later, he doesn't have the same issues.
17-20 -
For how long do you persevere with Butler. He looks like a walking wicket.0
