Leaburn got tripped and the foul given against him.Callumcafc said:
Once. Clarke ballooned the cross over to the far side and Leaburn got into a tussle over it and gave a free kick awayValleyGary said:We got two wing backs that can deliver a good ball to two big CF; how many times have we worked the ball wide to get in a cross? Zero.
we just lump it and sit back 🤣
It’s fucking suicide football against a team 7 points below us.4 -
I said after Saturday good result from very average performance. This is a worse than average performance, we really are awful to watch. This is a relegation display by us, Sheffield Weds have more fight than us.1
-
I’d sub Leaburn. He looks frustrated and could end up the wrong side of a refereeing decision.2
-
It involves us losing now. We’ve not come back from a goal down all year.Briston_Addick said:Plan A, don't concede, has failed.
Is there a Plan B? Does it involve, heaven forbid, attacking and maybe, just maybe, having a shot at goal, on target and possibly scoring?
I try to keep positive about this team but, bugger me, they test my sodding patience. That’s it close the thread see you all Saturday1 -
It might work if they could play off each other. But they can't. It made sense to play one and bring the other on with 25 to go.blackpool72 said:As soon as I saw the lineup with 2 big lumps up top I thought hoof hoof hoof
Shit fucking football
Sort it out 2nd half Jones0 -
The fact that Collins has been our best player tonight says a lot.4
-
Campbell must be coming on. Is not with the other subs kicking the ball around.1
-
Plan b bring on TC at wing back 😂
3 -
We’ll probably get TC at left wing back at this rate0
-
Surely you mean it had nothing to do with the shit referee, rather than there being nothing wrong with him, because he’s been undeniably abysmal.Leuth said:Nothing wrong with the ref. Nothing to do with losing Jones, Collins looked like our best footballer when he came on. Everything to do with the terrible lineup and tactics1 -

Campbell on for Leaburn0

What really pisses me off is we come to a team that is right out of form and make no effort to seriously attack them.
Instead we just sit back, defend and hope we can nick a goal
Leaburn and Dykes playing up front together just not working. Just like a week ago against Portsmouth.
Fed up with Jones' tactics and I struggle to understand why anyone would agree with them.

The referee is dodgy I think.1

And there's definitely nothing "charming" about that ref.1 -
They were low on confidence, we needed to tear into them from the off, instead we sit back and let them play themselves into the game.1
-
But we aren't pressing high with these WB's very often, if at all. We aren't trying to play any football through the middle, we aren't working it wide. One Sichenje ball aside we've genuinely just lumped it at Dykes and Leaburn.Callumcafc said:
Clarke has got forward. Scuffed a cross very badly when he got a chance with it.Laddick01 said:2 months with Jones and Clarke and Chambers appear to have had all the attacking quality sucked out of them.
We looked half capable when they got forward. Jones has cleaely given the instruction not to tonight and we look like relegation fodder.
Nobody is really playing well.
NJ went for the “clean sheet and build from there strategy” (not a terrible idea when WBA are so poor in front of goal) but it’s gone now and we’ll need to change tactics for the second half.
Even Steve Brown on comms just said “I didn’t expect WBA to score tonight but they have”
We play for knock downs, yet we are barely pressing them when they do happen.
It's naive to go into a game and expect to keep a clean sheet. I don't want us to go 433 and throw the kitchen sink at it, but there has to be another way outside of solely lumping it and hoping it sticks.
I don't know how we can be 33 games into a season and the players look like they barely know eachother on the ball.
I hope we turn it around, but I just can't see it if he keeps this set up.

Abject first half performance, expect it to get worse. The Kenyan guy needs too much time on the ball. Ref not having his best game.1

Leaburn off Campbell on.0

we will read about the worst team to come to the Hawthorne’s this season; and it’s totally justified at the moment.
The respect we’ve given a team in the shit has been nothing short of a disgrace.
Fucking stick it on em.1 -

You can't blame Kaminiski for that goal.Hartleypete said:Ball bounced about an inch from Kaminski, I just can’t stand the bloke what’s he got over Jones.Perhaps not but it might help if he actually tried to claim a cross once in a while.0 -
Vintage TC this half please2

One shot and no corners tells the story. No attacking intent whatsoever. He’s gone there to defend and hope to grab something on the counter.0
