So after the sham of last week’s first half with Leaburn and dykes up top that didn’t work, we repeat the same mistake and once again have to sub Leaburn at HT - pathetic

Got to be going for this in the second half - their confidence will be fragile.

Wouldn't have taken Leaburn off personally as Dykes hasn't had much impact when the ball has got to him.

That was such a negative performance and so poor from an attacking perspective especially against a side so lacking in confidence. One shot all half, zero corners and virtually no contact in WBA's box. And we wonder why our forwards don't score.

We don't create anything and have very little movement too - no meaningful crosses, no penetrative passes, wing backs not getting forward, nobody getting beyond the front two from deep etc etc. I get it playing like that against the likes of Coventry, Middlesbrough or Ipswich but WBA haven't won a game of any description for 12 games. We've literally played into their hands.
I thank NJ for coming in 2 years ago, saving our skin & then got us promoted.

But this is not football & one of the reasons why I haven't bought a ST. Its my birthday this coming weekend & my son was going to put out a birthday greeting for me over the tannoy. I told him not to bother as I wont be there.

If we stay up I would thank him for his efforts & get rid.......or are we going to do the same thing next season with a bottom 4 budget.

Abject first half performance, expect it to get worse. The Kenyan guy needs too much time on the ball.  Ref not having his best game.
He's taking back the minutes on the ball that him and his countrymen deserve.

Ball bounced about an inch from Kaminski, I just can’t stand the bloke what’s he got over Jones.
You can't blame Kaminiski for that goal.

Perhaps not but it might help if he actually tried to claim a cross once in a while.
He's claimed 2-3 tonight so far.

That was like watching paint dry until WBA Scored in added time.
Were CAFC playing for a 0-0 from KO ?
I don't know why I said in preview let's play on the front foot from the first whistle.

At least now we have to try and attack and string a couple of passes together on the ground.
Campbell on for Leaburn. Things can only get better.

WBA down our lef, have a throw they're going to lob into the box. Dykes heads it away.

We can sub leaburn all we want, we’ll still boot it 50 yards everytime we get the ball cos we got nothing between the lines. We are so predictable

We're just a really poor side with the same limitations in terms of creativity we've had all season. What I hate though is a lack of fight and we've done exactly that against 2 relegation rivals. West Brom are down there for a reason. Half time scores in our favour and we turn in a performance like this.

Chance for a counter, Carey plays it straight onto the head of a WBA defender

Jones will try it a few more times, the fans will boo him, he'll make a snarky comment and then change it.

    The Nathan Jones way.

Carey tries to send the ball across for Campbell to chase but their defence head it away.

Plan A, don't concede, has failed.

Is there a Plan B? Does it involve, heaven forbid, attacking and maybe, just maybe, having a shot at goal, on target and possibly scoring?

I try to keep positive about this team but, bugger me, they test my sodding patience.
It involves us losing now. We’ve not come back from a goal down all year.

That’s it close the thread see you all Saturday
What did we do last time out?

Would surely have taken off Dykes. He's not been involved at all.

He’s quite literally our only attacking threat in any game he plays in.

If we score the next goal, we'll go on to win this, they're flaky as hell
  • Good to see TC on but why no changes in midfield? More long ball crap coming up!

We definitely aren’t going to sack the manager if we stay up FFS.

Not really making the most of our possession there, and WBA try to send it forward but it's out for a goal kick.

Jones has got that first half 10000% wrong. To let them score whilst not laying a glove on them is criminal. They are absolutely awful.
I think you mean the players have got that half 10000% wrong. I doubt Jones has told them not to test the defence, not to score and to make sure they concede off the back of a dodgy reffing decision.
Yes, it's never Jones' fault. It's always dodgy refs. No, it has happened too often now. They have to go out on the pitch and look as though they are viable. Jones sets them up to look like losers. First halves are always tossed away with non-football. Second halves desperate, and prone to panic subs. Think Jones has run out of credit. Long way to the end of the season. Will not get very far playing Jonesball.
