Adkins, I could understand, overly positive bloke who had achieved back to back promotions with Southampton and was well thought of at his last job with Hull.

Jackson, club legend who had a successful caretaker spell, didn't work out but could at least understand.

Even Ben Garner, took Swindon to the playoffs while playing an exciting brand of football, again didn't work out but could at least understand it.

Holden, a really nice bloke who I really hoped would succeed with us but unfortunately went wrong quickly. But he did at least care and has been very respectful towards the club since.

But Michael Appleton, a man who was a meme on here back in 2013 FFS...When the majority of the fan base are already against the appointment before a ball has been kicked, that says it all. The absolute worst (non-Belgian) managerial appointment we've made since giving Phil Parkinson the full time job. And to think there were some Shrewsbury fans on X/Twitter saying that we wrong about Appleton. They aren't laughing now I bet...

Shrewsbury have won their last four league games since dumping him.

You could always understand how Pulis  and Allardyce kept getting jobs, but Apples?

Didn't he do well at Oxford? If Oxford need a new manager, there is your Man.

Five now. Won again tonight against big Karl's Salford
  • New manager has won the same amount of league games (5) in the last two weeks as Appleton managed in 6 months.

Phil Parkinson: A manager who when backed has taken a club from the national league to a Championship play-off place.

He’s a good manager, however it was said before him getting the job with us, that the decision would be based on results. Think we might have won 2 of 8. The decision was based on the club not having the money to sack him along with Pardew.

I think as caretaker he lost his first six matches but Murray still gave him the job.

I know I go on about it but Murray claiming to fans at a meeting that he thought Parky was a better manager than Curbs, still rankles. Wolves wanker.
