My heart skips a beat to the first sight of daffodils emerging in the gardens and parks.
For soon it will be time for Charlton Athletic to pack up their troubles in their old kit bags - just for a few weeks mind - but long enough to bathe in the sights and sounds of another delightful Summer in Charlton.
As I slumber in my favourite chair, I'll no doubt hear the distant thud of leather on willow - a ripple of applause - almost lost on the gentle breeze. Elsewhere the children play. Time honoured games, Hopskotch, Forty Forty, British Bulldog and Knock down Ginger.
What joy there is to behold in this wonderful place called Charlton ... S E Heaven.

Hated it since the red flag facility was removed.

I like it for the balanced, consistent and generally optimistic opinions, and the easy going acceptance of comments from others that are contrary to your own, even if made by you bunch of brain dead idiots.1

Some of us live in Woolwich Dockyard and can only aspire to "Charlton Life".

We actually made our own posts with crossbar and nets, and would take em down at the end of the matches on a Sunday and stash em in the bushes.robinofottershaw said:
