Blackburn, Leicester and West Brom properly in the shit alongside Oxford.

Pompey pulling themselves above us, reckon if we win even just one of our next 3 we're ok
Oxford will be above us soon..

By Easter it will be WBA, Leicester, Blackburn and us fighting NOT to go down with Wednesday.
    Sorry, that was unnecessarily negative.

We just need to start winning games

Bit of a Damascus experience there, Golfie?

Not Championship yet, but Lincoln winning 2-0 at Cardiff makes their promotion a matter of when, not if. An incredible achievement.

Yeah and they've got Conor McGrandles in Midfield still as well... Different player for them clearly

And Reeco too.  Plus Deji Elerewe on the bench.

Exactly mate we just need to win some games I’m sure we will be fine but personally think it will be edgy for example most people are counting Oxford away as 3 points for us whereas my view is that isn’t what we do ! We lose those games and win the ones we don’t expect that’s not negative it’s just a fact

Everyone having a normal one then
I get that someone always has to pop up and say something like that, but I think the discussion is pretty measured and sensible. The facts are that we are not a good side and are still in danger. To deny that puts you in Comical Ali territory.
Or it could be that I just made a joke to make people laugh and never said anything about us not being in danger. Bizarre response
So you weren't implying that a pretty normal discussion was people overreacting?
Obviously not. That's you bringing your own stuff into the post. If you go back a couple of pages you'll even see me saying that teams are never gone until they're mathematically relegated and remembering Oxford's run of form that kept them up last season
My 'own stuff'? Okay. One of the frustrations of this site is that you can't have a sensible discussion without someone piping up with' 'Well let's just throw in the towel now then!' not having the self awareness to see that they're the emotionally incontinent one.
Except I didn’t say that either did I? I don’t know what’s going on with you but can you project at someone else on another thread please, this one’s quite good

Just as well we did get the win with everyone else getting at least a point. In the end it’s two points gained on pretty much everyone and Oxford no closer. 10 games to get 4-8 points

9 clear of the drop. Whatever shenanigans and jumping around positions goes on now, it is definitely in our own hands at this point.

Realistically we probably only need one more win considering we will pick up a few draws as well no doubt

Sheffield Wednesday is the game that stands out, but I'd love to be able to go there a bit more comfortable, and being able to chortle about the irony of how charitable we are... When we dont win

Since the First Division was rebranded as "the Championship" there have been 12-times where 44-pts has been enough for survival... 2022-23 was the last time a team went down with 44-pts or less than that amount

I've never thought Oxford were doomed. Whether they can catch US is another matter. Indeed I'd be very happy if they stayed up and both WBA and Leicester went down. Or Blackburn.

There's still a 6 point gap, the same gap we have to Stoke and QPR above us. If Oxford go on a great run of form and surge to 50 points, then good luck to them. We still have 11 games left to get another 10-12 points, we'll have bad days and good days, lose games we expected to win, and win games we expected to lose.

Oxford now have a great chance of survival,  but it's unlikely to be at our expense. Their game against Blackburn is now massive.

There's 3 winnable games in there if we play like we did today. Have to beat Weds

West Brom have got to play 7 of the top 10 in their last 10 games - Oxford play 6 of them in their last 10 -  and if both are going to get anywhere near 50 points they are both going to need to win at least 4 games out those 10. (Blackburns run in doesn't look too pretty either especially if they don't win at Oxford)

Even getting to 45 points is going to be tough for them just looking at who they have left to play in my opinion.

Can't remember the last time we even got anything at the Riverside. Probably back to the Prem days with Bent and Rommedahl. Proper bogey ground for us!

Feels a bit like we'll take points off Middlesbrough just because it helps Millwall overtake them doesn't it?

Was thinking about this. Well, there's an upside to any result

Norwich and Preston at home are the games Jones should be targeting.

Bristol City is perfectly winnable too.

Anything we get on the road is a bonus. A point at Oxford would be lovely

I'm starting to worry we'll be safe too soon and have nothing to play for at the end of the season.

Couldnt care tbh. I'd rather win as many games as possible. If it means Millwall getting into the play offs.....or even the autos then so be it.

At least if they are in the Prem next year we cant lose to them.

Don't put money on us to do that for you.
