Rak-Sakyi is technically much better than TC but physically TC is way better. Physical attributes have become way more important over the last few years. TC can run all day and is rapid, end product is lacking but he’s more likely to add that to his game than Rak-Sakyi is to add those physical strengths that TC hasIR94 said:
Considering Rak Sakyi has struggled to make it in the Prem, and he is twice the player TC is, I doubt it.orpingtonRED said:
Campbell will play in the Premier League i reckon. Won't be with us. He's a winger with pace and skill and our best chance of staying upSword65pf said:
They were all awful, I’d say because TC is the one people expect more from as he has shown on occasion he can effect a game but quite often disappoints. I know it’s a different level, but look at the pelters Mo salah has been getting this season after being so good before, it’s the expectation i d say, and I’m not personally buying into his age as I’ve said before he has a lot of games behind him and players his age for other clubs perform with consistency. We will forever go around in circles with TC I’m afraid, especially the next time he scores, because he will be wonderful again.fenaddick said:
Sure but why haven't the Conor Coventry, Luke Berry and Charlie Kelman threads been resurrected? Coventry came on at half time and was probably at fault for their man getting a shot away for the third goal but it hasn't been brought upSword65pf said:
But the whole team were atrocious and he was part of that, the only one that came on and did better than anyone else was Fevrier.fenaddick said:He wasn't even close to being at fault for yesterday's performance and only his and Kaminski's threads have been resurrected. He's a lightning rod for any criticism instead of the individuals actually at fault
When they both played for us obviously Rak-Sakyi was miles ahead of TC. He’s still probably a better player now but I think the gap is a lot smaller now2 -
TC also has a much higher defensive work rate. I’m not saying he’s better than JRS as at the moment JRS’s attacking traits are far more impressive but if TC can improve his end product I can see him having a better career1
-
Absolutely no chance does TC ever make it in the Premier League. He's a top-end League One forward for me whose lack of end product and poor decision making are clearly exposed even at Championship level. Not a bad impact sub/something different for us.5
-
Considering TC probably gets the ball in attacking areas a lot less than some of the names on this list, pretty good numbers for him7 -
If he isn’t starting for a relegation threatened championship side, how does he get into a prem starting line up, still a lot of work to do.0

Easter's just around the corner, time of the year for miracles1

He isn't consistently threatening enough for that level. At the moment he's a good on his day winger a lot like Callum Harriott was a few years back and Harriott never had a sniff of playing in the top flight.0 -
Not that much like callum harriott, much better tight ball control0
-
Harriott's only 31. Could still do a job for us.0
-
He was instrumental in keeping us up a couple of times when we looked dead and buried. Must have been really young too.Gillis said:Harriott's only 31. Could still do a job for us.1 -

TC's build and pace when running with the ball reminds me more of Lloyd Sam who Curbs often used to good affect coming off the bench as an attacking outlet. I once met Lloyd at a players' Xmas hospital visit and was surprised at how diminutive he appeared (although I should say that players back in the noughties tended to wear very baggy clothing).Alwaysneil said:Not that much like callum harriott, much better tight ball control0 -
Think I'd prefer Ibby Fullah coming on as a livewire, snapping away and creating than TC looking lost or new to the game!3

Copying this over from the post match thread
"TC could've done more to help the defence". Look at his heat map, spent more time back defending than he did even near the halfway line ffs
8 -
He did a lot more than Dykes1
-
This. The criticism of him is pure irrational bullshit at this point. He was everywhere tonight. Vital block in the left back position. Covering the overlap in the right back position. Pressing their back line and keeper alone. Always our man furthest up the pitch ready for the break.fenaddick said:Copying this over from the post match thread

He's by no means perfect. His touch let him down a couple times and he could work on his decision making but to criticise his effort tonight is baffling.16 -
Surely tonight isn’t a night to single any of our players out for criticism, that was a team effort and we should be proud of every single one of them.14
-
They tried to overload us down the left in the second half with Chambers and Gillesphey on bookings and TC was instrumental in not allowing an extra man in the box to unpick our defence. If you’re criticising TC’s contribution tonight then you’re just doing it out of habit because he was a big part of that incredible defensive effort that won us 3 points14
-
Seriously stop fan boying over the kid just coz he came through the youth set up, he’s wank and everytime he’s on the pitch we play with 10 men!!3
-
I wouldn’t say he’s wank but I thought he was poor tonight. I’m not bothered about heat maps because all that shows is that he was in that area of the pitch, doesn’t show how he is impacting the game, or not as the case may be. He once tracked a runner and stopped a ball across the box but that was it. The rest of the time he looked lost. I’ve no agenda he just frustrates the life out of me and offers very little. There is a player in there, somewhere, but he really needs to up his game.smiffyboy said:Seriously stop fan boying over the kid just coz he came through the youth set up, he’s wank and everytime he’s on the pitch we play with 10 men!!7 -
There isn’t a player in there, he’s atrocious he gets a free pass as he came through the academy, he’s useless.people need to stop making excuses for him, kids a fraud !!8

Its the strolling around barely breaking sweat and leaving runners to charge at our goal when especially as a sub you should be busting a gut and really showing why you should start and also impact the game as much as possible
especially while nearly every one of our other players kill themselves battling and running all game
its almost unforgivable
He looks like he cba and isnt interested its beyond frustrating to watch6 -

Bizarre to be this angry about anything to do with our team straight after a fantastic away win!smiffyboy said:There isn’t a player in there, he’s atrocious he gets a free pass as he came through the academy, he’s useless.people need to stop making excuses for him, kids a fraud !!"W*ank" and "fraud" is way, way over the top17 -
He might get a free pass from some because he came through the academy, but he also gets a lot of over the top criticism from others because he came through the academy.smiffyboy said:There isn’t a player in there, he’s atrocious he gets a free pass as he came through the academy, he’s useless.people need to stop making excuses for him, kids a fraud !!
Same with Leaburn.
Their end product and decision making can be frustrating, but both have contributed this season and improved under Jones. There’s no reason why they can’t improve further.13 -

If rob apter had made half the contribution that TC has made this season they’d be clambering for him to be a contender for player of the season. I agree the criticism is way over the top.TC isn’t the only one who’s a bit lacklustre in defence, Carey’s another. But both their jobs is to contribute in other ways.3

I was very frustrated watching him last night. I’ll make a point of saying I’m not sure he knew where he should be positionally as so often without possession he was consistently 5-10 yards away from 2-3 Boro players and serving no purpose whatsoever as he was marking none and stopping the ball being played to none of them. However, sometimes it clearly shows he’s up for it, and other times gives off vibes he isn’t last night was very much the latter. Jones looked pretty mad at him at one point.I’m not dwelling on it as I don’t want to detract from last night. I’m neither a lover or hater with him, but I really can’t understand how some of those that have firmly entrenched themselves in the love camp can’t see the frustrations with him.15
-
I don’t think there’s a single person who has said he was brilliant last night or who can’t see that he has flaws. The positive comments about him came in relation to him and his effort being called disgraceful and that he wasn’t helping out defensively. I agree he could have been better, particularly on the ball, but those who praise him also criticise him a lot. Those who love to criticise him seem to praise him very rarely (with a couple of exceptions)6
-
This. I've always said his end product can be frustrating and needs to improve, his decision making needs work and recently his touch seems to have let him down a bit. But I think criticising his desire and effort is just lazy.fenaddick said:I don’t think there’s a single person who has said he was brilliant last night or who can’t see that he has flaws. I honestly think that if a player isn't all blood and thunder, fist pumps to the away end like Doc they get labelled with a bad attitude. Same has happened to Leaburn. It's ridiculous. On Saturday TC led a counter attack from the edge of our box to theirs, the ball was cleared and they broke. TC was the player who sprinted 80 yard back and put in a block in our right back area.
I'd love it if the club released some stats on distances run and sprint minutes. I'd bet he's right at the top of the list. He spent half the season filling in at left wing back massively out of position and against his instincts. He's the only player with real pace who can get us up the pitch quickly and exploit gaps in defenses.
As I said he can be frustrating and there are elements of his game you can certainly criticise. Work rate, effort or commitment are not on that list though.7 -
Jones mentioned in an interview that TC does 12km a game when he’s starting or something like that. I think along with Coventry and Docherty he’s probably our fittest player and along with them covers the most ground every gamecantersaddick said:

I have definitely been in the love him camp, especially as he offers - even if not perfectly - something no other player does, but last night was a real low point of TC's season and based on how NJ reacted a few times last night, he might just feel the same way.AFKABartram said:I’m not dwelling on it as I don’t want to detract from last night.
