Waiting For The Out is brilliantly written and superbly acted.
Josh Finan is an excellent actor. Its a brilliant show
  • Just another saying for pulling on your heart strings. Pretty common.
    Obviously not common for me..
I say it, and have done for years, and I'm in my fifties. Do you know anyone under 40? Pretty common in that demographic.
What a stupid comment. I don't use it and nobody in my social circle from the age of 1 to 95 does...

Hope you have a good day.

I completely missed it the first time around, so new to me, and have just watched season 1 of Mr. Mercedes.
Absolutely fantastic, if not a little disturbing - brilliantly acted as well. Some real heavy shit so seasons 2 and 3 can wait a little bit longer.
    So Stephen King.
  • Finished watching Dirty Business on C4 - really well done and a sad indictment of the total failure of the privatisation and lack of regulation of the water industry.

Filming of second series of This City is Ours well underway. Spotted the film crew outside the The Vines pub the other week.

Lot of filming goes on in the City and there's a former bar on my way from station to office that seems very popular with film and tv crews. They used to have clear windows but they're now opaque, presumably to avoid people like me peering in to see what they're up to. I'm always hopeful of bumping into a celeb who's popped out for a quick fag though.

What? Why you getting bent out of shape? I only asked you a question ffs!

Seemed to be more of a dig than a question from the way you worded it.

    Anyway let's move on.

One of our favourite series especially as I'm a SK fan.

Recommended to lots of others & may decide to watch it all again before too long.

It’s brilliant! Best adaptation of Stephen King novel imho.

Series 3 of the excellent BBC series The Capture started tonight.
  • Watched Louis Theroux's new documentary 'Into The Manosphere' last night, pretty good though probably not his 'best'. Pretty disturbing selection of individuals it focuses on and it seemed to me that it was a bit of a struggle for Louis to really get under their skin to see their true colours as they're so used to being on screen and acting to their audience all the time. Still well worth watching

Don't think I can bring myself to watch it - such a depressing bunch of losers.
  • Gone (ITV). Another series that promised more than it ended up delivering. Why can't anyone write a decent ending anymore?

MAFS Australia Season 13 has been the most explosive series of them all.
We've way ahead of what is being shown on E4 because we've got it downloaded from a friends plex server.
We've just finished the 4th dinner party.

(Yes, I'm a disgrace and I hang my head in shame!)

As a fan of the books, looking forward to Detective Hole on Netflix, Tobias Santelmann in the title role looks the part (much more than Daniel Craig did in The Snowman), though I don't quite know why the first of the TV series is the fifth of the books (The Devil's Star)?

Enjoyed watching it. David Morrissey was excellent.

Gone - bang average, with a shit ending

Steal - quite enjoyed, although working in international payments, the banking side made me laugh.

Under Salt Marsh - found it a grind to be honest, might have been better if could have binged, rather than one episode a week

Any Star Trek fans here? What did you think of Starfleet Academy?

I thought it was ok but a bit Hogwarts in Space!

    It/she was painful.
    I had to turn off.
