Clarke then brilliant at the other end to skip past his man and into the box but a good tackle halts his progress

TC to Carey, across to Clarke, gets into the box but Oxford cut it out.

Oh Clarke took it just too far into the box then, great recovery tackle from the Oxford man

Home crowd starting to get on the backs of the Oxford players. Something you love to hear.

Cross into the box, Leaburn heads it more sideways than forwards and Oxford clear.

He's used to the more temperate climate of Luton

Lovely pass from Carey to Clarke into the box but a good tackle just stops him.

Bell towards Chambers down the left, wins us a corner.

He doesn't want his extremeties to get frozen.

The last thing you want is a cold Bell end.

Ball launched forward for Clarke to chase, but it's out for another goal kick.

We're looking comfortable at the back and going forward, on top, I dont know how to enjoy this....
  • After the other night, it is very strange sitting here quite relaxed and not thinking our opponents are going to score every time they attack.

Hope that's not famous last words!

Why doesn’t TC go at a full back like he did last season?

This is actually a totally different challenge today …. How to avoid a smash and grab.

Because we aren’t used to having all this possession. Can we work out how to use it whilst not getting caught out at the back?

Bit of a tussle between Jones and his man but the ball runs through to Mannion on the edge of the box.

Nice that the Referee didnt book Clarke for kicking the ball away (if you could call it that), after the ball had gone out
Shame the Pompey referee didn't have such sense
