Wish Carey didn’t feel the need to shoot in all situations.

It’s not been great has it. Almost feels like we are already on the beach. Just a nothing kind of performance

Think there’s the expectation that we should be competing more. In reality we are playing a side that would be comfortably top 6 had they not completely shit the bed til Jan.

That was a superb move. Moved it quickly and with purpose.

Mannion is good at claiming high balls and very poor at long shots, we know this. With that in mind the defence and midfield need to be killing the option for a strike from distance which they have done very effectively in the past few games but not here. If they can’t stop it then he’s not a good keeper to rely on to keep that kind of shot out

Perhaps we should play 2 goalkeepers.......Mannion to come out & collect the ball and Kaminski to save the shots 🤷‍♂️
A great idea in theory except Kaminski isn’t brilliant at long shots either. I don’t think we’ve had a keeper who was good with them since Ben Amos to be honest and he left 5 years ago

We must be one of the most unexciting teams in the EFL to watch. We just seem to plod through games, winning, losing or drawing we just plod along. We are the football equivalent of slippers and a nice pair of corduroy slacks.

Can Norwich stop closing us down so quickly, this isn't how things get done at the Valley chaps!!

Another team who pass and move at high speed and another game where the total ineffectiveness of our midfield is shown.

This has been hopeless. We are being dragged out of shape and are chasing shadows all over the pitch.

its that old familiar thing. When we are bad we are really really shit.

It is dull, but I’ll take this every single day of the week if it keeps us up and gives us foundations to build on.

What we have here is a game between two sides who have their own distinct tempos and styles.

Charlton are the slow-tempo, slushy ballads that are instantly forgettable and not really enjoyable.

By comparison Norwich are like a Norwegian black metal outfit, high speed and technical.

TC drives forward from our own half, cuts inside and wins a corner from a shot

One of the things I hate about us the most is how slow we are when we turn over the ball with our goalkeeper after an opposition attack.

We never, ever, look to counter off it.

I’ve been noticing that on here all week. People seem to be looking at the table and thinking about how Norwich were last time we played them but the reality is they are the form team in this division and I think they’ve won 9 of their last 12. They’re a great side right now

Hmm fair booking on Doc, but the Norwich player didnt get punished when TC broke and brought down a Charlton player no where near the ball

It’s scrappy but we’re defending the edge of the box better, more intensely
