Well that was an awful first 45. Luckily we are only one down. Norwich are very fluent, easily overloading our wings and winning every second ball. Even Lloyd Jones is gaving a poor game by his standards.

We need the ball to stick in attack and our midfield to compete better.

TC seems to be on the plane to Mexico already (but having forgot his passport...), so I would get him off, for Kelman, and with Doc being booked, i would bring on Fullah to give us more energy.

Leaburn and Fevrier are later options if we are still chasing later on.

We have had other games where we have brought it back after being down at h/t, so fingers crossed...

    COYA!

Anyone have the stat for how many goals we’ve scored in first half this season?
11 first half (25 second half) according to Statbank.

    Pretty poor that!
The poor 1,400 or so kids that have come to see this🤣

Just continuing to lump it forward, but when we do get the ball on the floor, we just faff about and tend to play it negatively.

dykes totally isolated, not really receiving much help from TC
Yup 1400 kids begging their dad not to bring them to the Valley again!

Norwich are a good team, Maghoma has been finding so much space out there.

We've given up too much space just outside the box, but also have looked pretty toothless up front.

Thanks mate. I didn’t think it was double figures for first half to be honest.

It's almost as if Jones is incapable of setting up a team to attack.
Promotion in his first full season and has Charlton 9 points clear of the relegation zone in the Championship
Sorry for wanting to see a bit of attacking endeavour on occasion - yes we're clear of the relegation zone but our football is so dull and boring to watch.

    Today's crossbar challenge ...

    🤦‍♂️

A bit of advice for future contestants:

Try and get the ball OFF the turf  to stand a chance of hitting the bar, a pea roller won't work.

And people wonder why TC gets criticism? Jeez. A number of times Chambers had the ball or we have a throw and he just stands there watching. No attempt to create any space to receive the ball. Comments from those around me and from further back behind me can't mean we are all wrong. We all see the same thing. A couple of minutes after they scored Dykes headed a ball towards their box. The keeper came and claimed it but if TC had been aware he could have made an attempt to put him under pressure. Never on his toes.

Not easy to be attacking against a recent PL team when you have the 2/3rd lowest wage budget in the division. I’m sure NJ wants to play better football but it’s not always possible

It’s only 3 in the first 30 minutes, eight coming in the 31st and onwards. Apparently.

I keep thinking about getting Valley Gold but the thought of being picked to do that terrifies me ....

Would you notice that they have a lot more players out with injury than us

Bring Kelman on for TC to give Dykes some help

Crowd sentiment isn’t always right though. There was a moment I could hear him getting pelters while he tracked back for not doing it instantly, they stopped when he halted the momentum of the attacker

Have thought that Campbell has been one of our better attacking options this afternoon.
Said it at the time, but equally frustrates the f**k out of me, when TC gets two men on him, and no red shirt move to offer an option.
I guess given the opinion on here though, he should have the ability to get out of any difficult situation though

I know I said I wouldn't post again on this thread again today but I've just done the following research.

Not including today we have scored -

    Once  - 63.16%
    Twice - 7.89%
    Thrice  - 5.26%
    None  - 23.68%.

So we have scored in just over 75% of matches this season, with once being by far the biggest amount.

So there is still hope today. But only if Norwich dont score again

Dykes, Carey and Clarke link up well but the keeper claims the cross with ease
