Crazy that the third best nation in Oceania is a game away from making the world cup when Australia were complaining 20 years ago that qualification wasn't fair.

They'll probably expand it to 64 teams in the next decade and apparently some crank has sold a house in order to attend this years world cup. Utter woke madness.

Haven't read any other analysis on the Welsh game but surely Bellamy made a mistake in taking the two best players on the night off in Brooks and James when Harris and Liam Cullen wouldn't get in a Charlton team !
With the adrenaline flowing both could've done the 90 and 1-0 it could've finished.
Darlow was good but he is prone to a rush of blood and it didn't surprise me when he missed his punch 4 minutes from the end and it was 1-1

Wales started playing like CAFC when we are 1-0 up but they didn't have Ramsey,Jones and Bell to see out the game or Mannion who would've punched that corner away if he couldn't take it cleanly.

Surely Italy have the nous this time to get pass Bosnia and get back on the world stage ?

Given the kicking that James, and to a lesser extent Brooks, got in the first half, I'm not surprised they got subbed off. It was the quality of the replacements that was the problem.

What a delightful evening of penalties
At least they can now all spend their summer doing what they usually do at major tournaments. Cheer on whoever plays England.
The melt down from the Irish and particularly the Welsh this morning on socials has been fucking beautiful. Ghana, Croatia and Panama flags already up in their bios 🤣

    Proper raging.

Out of Campbell, Anderson & Bell I find it baffling that Bell is the one that doesn't seem to play much
Seems like yesterday they played as much of a B team as possible, with Bell's injury record it's possible he was being saved. I do agree it's odd he hasn't played more before but he did pull out of a squad earlier in the season which might not have gone down well
From a selfish pov, we could do with Bell being on the bench for the final as well.

Neither TC nor Anderson are injury prone, indeed both are great athletes, whereas Bell is someone whose minutes do need to be monitored.

In fairness to FoD I am pretty sure it was being used somewhat in jest. “Woke” has become memed into meaninglessness on social media.

I think I read somewhere that "woke" means, and will always mean, anti-racist and nothing else.

Can't remember where I read it now, but I'm sure I did read it somewhere.

Thought that Dykes & Scotland were relatively poor in what was another dull international friendly.

International friendlies are just a practice match for player assessments that makes money by ripping off the fans.  Don't expect entertainment. And frankly, don't buy a ticket.
Apologies for the crudity but 80,000 people got shat on at Wembley.
Should have been five quid a seat, just to be there.

They are games for the tourists, kids and those that haven’t been to Wembley or been to an England game. I don’t even bother watching it on tv these days.

Just seen that their game on Tuesday is being played at Everton's Hill Dickinson stadium.

    WTF ????

Why are they playing a game in England  ???  Who agreed to that !! Imagine England playing a home match at Hampden or Celtic Park.

    Worlds gone mad

It an away game for Scotland, Ivory Coast wanted to play a home game in England. Presumably for similar reasons why Australia, Jamaica, Ireland et al have played "home" games in England over the last few decades.

I know. I woke in surprise this morning when my wife touched me, but then she got up and I went back to sleep.

The real question is the difference between:

    Woke
    Woke up
    Awoke
    Awakened

"Woke up" are the first 2 words of the middle section of A Day in the Life by the Beatles.

Yes, but do you know how many holes it takes to fill The Albert Hall?
