If you had told me at the start of the season we would be 5 points clear with 4 games to go, I'd of taken it and I'd still take it as it is today.

It is still in our hands, yes we should've done better over the last 3 games and not be looking over our shoulder but that's just not Charlton is it?

While we lack quality this team is still grafting and I believe that is what will keep us up.

Keep the faith, it'll be close but we'll be okay (just)

So now only 5pts from relegation, and we can joy buy  a win.
How is the other teams around can put together a decent run of form and we can not?
Relegation looks more likely now than not.

Fullah may be one for the future but he is not ready for this league. Should not be taking punts on youngsters when we're not yet safe
Yep or on grandads like Luke Berry who are ten yards behind he pace of the game and wouldn't even be coming off the bench in L1.

Have to say I'm in agreement. Heads out of the sand time folks. We are in trouble.

NJ can’t play Fullah in this situation…how he is first off the bench is beyond me….not fair to the kid…..

Yet again we are done on the break when one our kids is too weak for the championship, have as much skill as you like but if you can’t stand up you are fucked. We’ve spent all season watching the opposition react to 2nd balls better than us.

Be honest, if you were told in July we’d be 5 points above the drop having never gone in the relegation zone with 4 left to play would you have taken that? I’m pretty sure most of us would
I think you're right...if it hadn't had been quite as shit to watch. One of the weirdest seasons I can recall.

By far the biggest result for us this week was the confirmation of Leicester’s 6 point deduction - I have been relatively assured that we’d have enough to stay up - but not any more. I think unless we beat Wednesday next week - we are in huge trouble. Portsmouth and Oxford are genuinely fighting

Yeah tbh I dint think you can blame Berry for today though

Why is it that teams can scythe us open at will at the Valley?

That's it then. Blown it. We're down. We're not going to get another point all season, whilst a couple of the teams below us are already "safe". White flags going up all over the show.

At least that's what I'm reading on this thread. But then I look at the table and wonder if any of the teams below us would love to swap places with us still ....... hmmm.

Grow some bollocks you ridiculously weak and spineless bunch.

If we go down on the last day again, despite not being in the relegation zone all season I’ll start following a different sport. A very real chance it happens if we don’t beat Wednesday next week.

He did waste a good two minutes by going for a ball he was never getting and also kept just taking up the space Dykes was in. It wasn't his fault but he isn't good enough

I get that but it needs to be put in context. We are on a terrible run and in relegation form. Next week is our most 'must win' of the season and if we don't then I fear the worse. I have supported this team for many years and this is what we do. It seems we are doing all we can to get relegated.
What NJ does all week god only knows. What I do know is that we are simply not good enough and haven't been for weeks.
Another thoroughly depressing weekend for everyone. Thanks Charlton.

I think we will stay up just 🤔👎
however I have never known a team to waste and miss so many chances.
we need a proper striker who knows how to hit the bloody target.
unless the manager and the owners pull their fingers out and get their Acts together,
we will be relegated next season.
one goal per game is not good enough if you cannot keep clean sheets 👎👎👎

Still it was great to see Berry come on and influence the game with zero impact.
I’d forgotten he was still with the club!

Poor result felt worse than the Bristol defeat. Need to pick up another win from somewhere now. Or 3 draws is more likely

Realistically it’s beat Wednesday and we’ll be OK.

Problem is we are still struggling to score and even though we’re creating we just cannot put chances away.

The midfield at this level is just broken. Team has too
many grafters and a complete lack of quality.

If we don’t add significant quality to the middle of the park I think we’ll really struggle next season.
I don't think we'll struggle in the third division!

I hope to God that Coady is fit for next week.

  • We were very good for the first 20 minutes and then very pedestrian for the rest of the game we will not go down still convinced about that. Plus for me today were good displays by Docherty and Fev

Definitely been making a meal of this last 10 games, next weekend might be the last time we pick up any points.

    Bollocks and bluster.

Need to win at Sheff weds as can't see us getting anything from Ipshit and Hell.

    aka Crap!
  • Berry rather than Kelman for last 5 minutes, seriously? Berry was so off the pace it was shocking. We go front foot against Sheff Wed or we're buggered. Start Godden with Leaburn please, we need guile not resilience that Dykes brings v Wednesday.

We need to ideally get 3 more points across the next 4 games to be sure of survival. Next game we play the worst team around and it’s away from home where we’re weirdly good. Even within that we’re 5 points clear so mainly we’re looking at Oxford not going on an insane winning run in their last 4 games. It would be nice to have been safe by now but we still have work to do. The positive is some of the panicked reactions on here are genuinely hilariously entertaining. Real lack of fortitude from some fans, back the team and see the season out, all these posts about how we’re definitely going down do not reflect well.
A team that drew 0-0 with Coventry, and you think we can do better.

No that would not, if meant having our current form.

We are 25-1 to go down currently, that feels massive odds
Wow - I almost stuck £250 on when it was 60-1 as it was obvious we had potential to get into this kind of run of form.

Those odds are a bargain and will surely drop tonight.
