We can safely assume Birmingham will pump a lot of money in this summer. They’ve already invested heavily in their women’s team this year and they’ve been vocal about their future ambitions. Palace massively underperformed in the first half of the season. Their form recently is more like what you would’ve expected from them over the whole season. They’ll reinforce and regroup. They’ll be decent next year.
We need to commit a large chunk of money to the women’s team if we want to be part of the elite. Whether the owners are willing to do that, I don’t know, but the women’s game is still the fastest growing sector of football and I think the club would be wise to grab the opportunity. Some won’t like it because there are quite a few fans who are only interested in the men’s team, but in my opinion, it’s really important to promote this part of the club.

It's no surprise our form has tanked after the winter window where lots of teams strengthened and we bought a bench option and a defender who stayed on the bench yesterday while a right winger was brought on to play LB instead. To not assume similar would happen next season is incredibly naive

If we were in the WSL1 and were playing Liverpool at home in a league fixture, that would be a must-win for avoiding relegation. We'd need to be massively stronger to go into that sort of game trying to win it rather than the team playing out of their skins to just about grab a point over the 90 minutes.
Having said which, the fact we competed with Liverpool suggests a one-off game against Leicester (or whoever) isn't completely hopeless. So that's a positive.3 -

Southampton seem not to have finished uploading their ticket page - it's showing the wrong kickoff time at present. No identified away area but there's a suspiciously square block of seats taken in block 3 rows Q to T which could be the seats booked by the club. Or it could be someone else.0 -
Looks like Sunderland have got some serious investment in ahead of next season. Let's hope that's not something we have to worry about immediately.

Obviously we're hoping that we don't need to care about the makeup of the second tier next season, but perhaps worth noting that Watford have won the southern division of the tier 3 league again, so they will be promoted. The second of the three slots goes to the winner of the north division, which looks like being Burnley but could also be Wolves. The third goes to a playoff on Monday 4 May when whichever club loses out in the northern division will play either Plymouth or Bournemouth.
Those 3 promoted sides replace the 2 who get automatic promotion to WSL1 plus whoever finishes last in the very tight battle at the bottom, leaving WSL2 still with 12 clubs next season.0 -

That's annoying in terms of getting to watch the game, but our last visit there was the league cup game when we were 1-0 down in the 90th minute and won 2-1. Southampton haven't finished updating their ticket page yet - it's still offering reserved seats but Eastleigh is unreserved, sit or stand where you like, turn up early if you need a seat. They've said that all tickets for the St Marys version of the fixture will be accepted at Eastleigh, so no need to delay buying just pick a random seating area.
