    My result arrived late morning - was a bit anxious after low Amber reading last year, but back to good Green reading this time. Very happy. Thanks again to @Tracey and all.

    I don't know what tape they used but it pulled a layer of skin off when I removed it. Ouch!

    Then I got a red result. Double ouch!

    Already booked an appointment with the GP and hopefully it will all be fine but you can't help but be a bit worried.

    Haven’t received my result yet, I was one of the first to have the test at noon. There was three of us, the other two have had their results, so not sure how the tests are prioritised. It can’t be by surname as two of us are Mc’s.

    I got a very high score years ago. Had lots of tests, DREs, MRI, couple of biopsies since but no sign of any cancer.

    Scores remain high and so on a six monthly testing regime (all free on the wonderful NHS) so I get why anyone would be concerned and you should definately get further help but it may not be cancer.

    And if it is, then it can nearly always be dealt with.

    Just had my result which, thankfully, remains green. It’s the second year running that the score has gone up quite a bit though. My Dad was diagnosed at around my age so will keep a close eye on future scores/symptoms. 

    The opportunity to be tested annually is very comforting though and, as others have said, huge thanks go out to Tracey for continuing with this initiative, the club for supporting it and all those involved in making it happen on the day.

    Got my result. 2.09 amber up 17% from last year. Will speak to the doc when I’m back.
    Think it might be I spent all day Thursday gardening and done over 12 miles.

    as you say people like Tracey and staff are clear proof that the world isn’t all doom and gloom and good people are not as difficult to find as you’d think, gives us all hope👍

    I was told last year, that I didn’t need a test this year, but have always booked. I’m 61, my brother was 61 last year and he had prostate problems. It’s better to be safe, like Henry said a number of things can shown a high PSA test, once highlighted, it can be investigated.

    I didn't test as I had one through work last November (comfortably green) so I felt it was waste of a slot.  I'm guessing there will be a few more like me that either get it done independantly or by the NHS.  Best thing I think about these days is raising awareness

    In my case I tested slightly over 2 last year which put me safely in green and not needing a test for two years. I still had one this year and due to different guidelines whilst my results was still just over 2, with just a small increase, I was amber. It would still have been green last year and using this year's guidelines my green then would be amber now.
    I suspect a lot of people will be in the same position hence the rise in amber and red cases.
    Using the NICE guidelines I am still safely in the green zone.

     I Had to phone to get mine as it didn’t come by email. I’m one of those in the red (3.39 @ age 59) so off to the GP I go.

    Had mine done as part of my annual check up yesterday. Result was thankfully 0.89. Good luck to all those who need further checks, a higher reading doesn’t always indicate cancer. Several factors could be the cause.

    I have heard from @Tracey that last September, on the advice from their medical board, Barry Kilby moved to the Prostate Cancer Risk Management Program age related guidelines. These guidelines use lower PSA levels for abnormal amber and red scores with the hope that this will lead to more men without symptoms being diagnosed early with prostate cancer. As these scores are lower more men are receiving abnormal amber and red results.

    Many thanks to everyone involved with organising the PSA testing. 

    Unfortunately I was diagnosed in the Red Army, after successive years with results 1.44, 1.28 it rose this year 454% to 7.98.
    Took my results to my doctors who tested me immediately, the result came back 4.54 a fraction over the threshold and the Bone Marker Test came back normal. Not sure what the medical follow-up will be.

    Had a similar situation 7-8 years ago with a high result, the doctor promptly referred me to Guys, result reduced to 1.4 with no further action.

    I got a result, and after finding a way to read it, saw I also had a result on the message from two years ago.
    I can understand the colours, but no idea about which bits of all the data means if my numbers have gone up or down.

    It's been that high before but I'm booked in for an MRI on Tuesday as part of my regular screening.

    Thanks @Weegie Addick. I did see that my report included the NHS/NICE chart as well and I would be amber on that scale rather than red. Seeing the doctor on Tuesday as a follow up.
