    I think he has the potential to become a Greg Docherty type player, good off the ball but less good on it. It means his ceiling is more likely to be lower end Championship or towards the top of L1. Of course there’s always potential he improves on the ball but it’s unlikely

    Based on what? The praise he gets (and deserves) is for his work rate and athleticism. I don't think he's ever been particularly noted as a proficient passer of the ball. I'm not writing him off completely but realistically he's basically Docherty all over again when ideally we need a more rounded player than that.

    I think the comment above relating his style to George Lapslie is quite a good one.
    They are not exactly the same, but George came through the ranks and is currently with promotion hopefuls Bradford City, so we might see him next season.
    A Charlton product, 28 year old George has to date played 248 senior games and scored 38 goals, a goal about every six games.

    He will move on in the summer - if we want to go to the next level, Anderson unfortunately isn't the answer to that.

    If we do sell him, same with Kanu, I'd like to see us do what we did with Elerewe, and have a first refusal option and / or a potential buy back clause - Especially if they go to League One sides with the sort of pedigree like Blackpool who have the ability to fighting at the right end of the League table.
    I agree with Scoham that we're probably advancing a bit too quickly for them to keep up in their current careers, but there is plenty of talent at the top end of this table that has come from League One / League Two. So would be foolish to disgard our Academy players, and not have a route back to sign them should they bloom in another 2-3 years time.
    Jack Rudoni is perhaps a good example of someone having a slow start to his career (released from Surrey), and then impressing his way through the Leagues because he didnt have to worry about getting thrown in at Championship level too early.

    I'd still give him another chance with preseason and over the summer then if required another league 1 loan next year then reassess the following season. There's something there, I deff think he'll be stronger for the experience away, just looked at the stats and hadn't realised how much we had used him the last 2 seasons (38 games last year, 25 games 23/24), during that time there was massive improvements so I don't see why there wouldn't be improvements this season. Whether its enough, who knows but lets not write the lad off, he's got the energy and relentlessness off the ball just needs improve his passing.

    Jones will want to assess him in the summer. I can see a season long loan for Karoy next season.

    One season at this level does not mean we’re established and can get rid of everyone who isn’t good enough now for where we want to go and start from scratch. 

    Second season syndrome is very real and should the worse happen 12 months from now, it would be an asset to have the likes of Asiimwe, Kanu and Anderson available for our squad.

    And who knows, it’s still possible that 1, 2 or all 3 of them make the jump and are Championship ready by 2027/28. Whoever isn’t then, that’s the time to start thinking about offloading with sell on clauses etc. inserted into deals.

    Based on a lot of the youth team games where one touch fast passes was a big part of his game. Of course he didn't have opponents crashing into him them but it stood out for me.

    I'll say this for Karoy... he'll always score more goals than Doc, he's a better finisher.

    Whether that is more important than the leadership Doc brings, is open to conjecture.

    Sorry to go on about it but people are just clutching at straws, he's not good enough right now for where we are in the leagues, and he's not standing out in the division below either
    I mention it because it was by far the best performance I saw from a Charlton midfielder all season which is impressive in its own right but even more so considering he was only 20 at the time. As for the bossing the championship quote what was the point of making up something I didn't say?

    Within the club, he's hardly got a top set of CM's to learn from and develop with at the moment. Some decent pro's, but no one who really lifts and demonstrates the standards and he can learn from, a good loan and another look at him over the summer makes sense,

    As we progress and hopefully bring in talent, hopefully it helps some of our promising youngsters develop.
