Interesting, looking him up he’s 22 and is on loan from Palace so it’s a move that might work for him. At that age he’s unlikely to make it with them and it seems he has 1 year left on his contract, so they’ll probably want to get a fee for him.elbiglad said:I was impressed with both Max Lowe and Tayo Adaramola today. Both players that would improve our left sided options in defence.
Richard Cawley then mentioned on his podcast that we are interested in Adaramola.

Been impressed with him every time I’ve watched him play.Scoham said:

Would make sense with Adaramola being with Palace , had a few loan spells but probably one that's never going to break through there.elbiglad said:I was impressed with both Max Lowe and Tayo Adaramola today. Both players that would improve our left sided options in defence.

Sichenje is the bench mark now. We need to be creative with our scouting and smart when we pick up players domestically.13

It’s those already playing in England that will be interesting. It’s easier to accept punts from abroad being of questionable quality. I genuinely don’t know what level of player we can attract now. Is it players released from mid table teams like Bristol City and QPR? Or are we able to aim a little higher?3

I'd be looking at anyone released by a championship club really , or someone like a Sunderland who will have players that got them promoted that now in a second season in the Prem will naturally be surplus to requirements.fenaddick said:It’s those already playing in England that will be interesting. If people get fed up with TCs end product then Adaremola's looked several steps lower. Woeful crosses. Thought some of his play was non League like. Not as bad as their number 4 who was entirely non League standard.1

Would be a decent backup to Edwardselbiglad said:I was impressed with both Max Lowe and Tayo Adaramola today. Two players that would improve our left sided options in defence.

Should Stephy Mavididi be on our shopping list?
27 years old. Scored 4 in the premier league last season & 12 in the championship the year before.
He obviously knows Charlton well from his previous loan(s) at the valley and it could be useful that he can play as a striker or out wide if/when needed.
You’d have to expect a good few of Leicester’s players to move on post relegation. The likes of Matawa will obviously be well out of our price range and probably go to the Prem but Mavididi (brought up not far from here in East London) feels a realistic target.7 -
He knows the club. Except everything about the club from his last time here is completely different. But apart from that, he knows the club.Oh Eddie Youds... said:Should Stephy Mavididi be on our shopping list?

We won’t be getting near any Leicester players, they’ll want far too much money9

Will be interesting to see where some of them end up , a lot of very very big contracts there to try to shift.AberystwythAddick said:We won’t be getting near any Leicester players, they’ll want far too much money2 -
We’re going to have to raise the salary bill & pay good championship level wages to some key players next season. If we keep working to a bottom 3 budget we will end up in the bottom 3.AberystwythAddick said:We won’t be getting near any Leicester players, they’ll want far too much moneyWe’re not going to get lucky with multiple clubs getting point deductions every season, like we have this year.9 -
I read that they had the highest wage bill in championship history, we’re not talking about 10-20 thousand theses players are on 50k plusOh Eddie Youds... said:

Yeah seen £50k+ in relation to Winks,Daka and a few others in that squad. Ipswich might have the edge on most expensive squad in terms of fees paid but Leicesters wage bill is eyewatering.AberystwythAddick said:

And also have proven they don’t have tha stomach for a fight, should we stay up and find ourselves in a similar situation, steer clear of relegated players I’d say.AberystwythAddick said:We won’t be getting near any Leicester players, they’ll want far too much money5 -
Certainly the Leicester ones. There’s fight in the others and one of our best players this season (Bell) was relegated last time out. There will be gems there, it’s about picking the right onesSword65pf said:

Very risky though, with respect Bell has done well until recently where I think he’s been poor, would many other sides have been after him? As you say we’d have to be sure they are the right players but wouldn’t be signing too many of that relegated profile.fenaddick said:

Bell has comfortably been out most consistent new signing this season.Sword65pf said:

Not the highest of bars set though is it, considering most of them haven’t played, I didn’t say he’d been shit or anything did I?Covered_End_Lad said:

I honestly can’t wait for this season to end it’s been a painful success in terms of staying up which I’m sure we will now but it has been dire. Transfers have been very confusing imo hardly any of last years signings are still here and apparently we paid decent money for them. I’m sure the ownership will provide funds this summer but we need to be signing pretty much a full squad I think in order to survive next season. Literally the only players I would 100% want to see starting next season would be.
Jones
Bell
Edwards
Ramsay
Collins
that leaves a lot of outgoings and signings lol3 -
Dont know where we go,
do we…
move on all last summers signings except carey?
Try to hold on to the loanees we have now?
We need a younger godden and two top centre mids (workhorse and playmaker) if we want to compete
rely on our youth?
lots of questions!
theyll all have to fit jones ball tactics. Doubt he will change0 -
I honestly think the addition of a couple of decent midfielders and a more mobile version of Dykes, and this side looks a lot different. Need some wingbacks as well though.6
-
Been saying for months midfield not good enough and would only keep about 5 players from that squad it’s a league 1 team playing in championship and if we’re going to move forward they will have to recruit good , also Jones style of play is crap and all the other fans who’s club he has managed have been telling us that .2
-
Priority list
1) Ramsay + Jones deals
2) Midfield (New starting CDM and CM min)
3) Wingbacks (Edwards cover, new right side)
4) GK (sell Kaminski new No.1)
5) Striker (all rounder)
6) LCB (Macca replacement long term for bell)4 -
A few years ago whenever we were on the telly Robert Lee would be in the pundit chair even though he hadn't played for the club for plenty of years but I suppose he 'knew' the club. The Red Robin said:

Hopefully now if we've stayed up we'll be able to operate in a higher tier of the loan market too.
Just don't allow any scouts/managers to watch our games this season or analyse current style of play.0 -
