A West Brom win tonight and an Oxford defeat (edit - or draw) tonight would present a convenient points gap for West Brom to be hit with a points deduction. Might be one to watch, should those results materialise.
  • I can certainly see Oxford getting 6 points.  From the highlights it looks like they were unlucky v Derby.  Playoff chasing results were very kind to us this weekend though with Wrexham still in with a real chance.. I think we need a Wrexham win massively and to hope we pick up a point v Hull (I see nothing v Ipswich).
They definetely weren't unlucky against Derby, they were shocking. Hope they play like that for the last 3 games

Good to hear. I only watched the highlights and they made it looks like Oxford missed some great chances and had an equal number of chances to score.  But appreciate they are only 2 mins of a 90 min game.

Argh. I remember the days when we used to have highlights to watch after games. Those were the days!

Looks like Wrexham have opted for Danny Ward in goal again now after he's recovered from his elbow injury that kept him out for large parts of the season - He kept a clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Stoke on Saturday
Wrexham also beat Oxford 1-0 in the reverse fixture back in October
As a result they're looking to complete the double over the U's for the first time since 2003, yet the two sides have only been in the same Division three times since then; Oxford have won the last two games at the Kassam Stadium between these sides, both in the National League ending 1-0
Oxford have six League wins in total, Wrexham have 11-wins whilst 8-games have ended all square.
Wrexham are looking to win back to back games for the first time February, where they won three on the spin, culminating with their 1-0 victory over the Valley - Oxford will be looking to avoid back to back defeats for the first time since January... All but one of their defeats in 2026 has been followed up with a draw, the sole game they've won in 2026, after tasting defeat, was a 2-1 win over West Brom back in February.
Excellent preview as always FA  ;)

    When's the match thread up?
Need to ask @EastTerrace6168 that question, the Match Thread is his remit ;)
    Give me ten minutes...😉

If Oxford do get a win tonight, it will show beyond doubt they’re fired up for the run in.  That’s the biggest thing that worries me about us.  We’ve always been an organised and disciplined team, and at the start of the season had the energy to press.

I’m not sure we’re a team that would have the fight to raise it if we needed to get a win.  I think we’d go deeper into our cautious and avoid defeat set up.

Have to admit I am worried about the Oxford front line of Vini Jr - Haaland - Mbappe
I know they're out of Champions League contention, but allowing them a late surge in the Championship is a bit unfair?
Tbf if they win tonight we alll have the right to be nervous

I'm ready for the meltdown when Oxford win tonight

Not a lot will change. Those of us who think we are fucked will still think we are fucked.

Those of us who think we are safe will still think we are safe.

Big win for Wrexham would be welcome as well, something like 0-4 to really bugger Oxford's GD
