Wonder who else we targeted keeper wise or if he was the number 1 target all along? Got to look for an upgrade in the summer and some way to get him off the books.
Just been really disappointed by him for someone that's vastly experienced.5 -
Buying a bog eyed keeper probably wasn’t Jones’s smartest decision - he is crap.0
-
An absolute masterclass bringing him in, for a fee and for a big wage. Incredible stuff

Total wank this geezer. Mannion slightly better but between them, they have lost us multiple points this season. That penalty save effort tonight was pathetic. Like quavers for hands. His kicking is pony too. Get rid4
-
Can't remember was it circa £1m ish as a transfer fee? Our record with paying fees for players last summer is looking worse and worse.1
-
So glad we brought him back in tonight. Definitely not at fault for yet another goal…1
-
The weird thing is that the rumours at the time said he was off overseas for £0 and we nipped in and paid £1m for him. Who knows the truth. But he is shit and a huge disappointment that needs binning.MarcusH26 said:Can't remember was it circa £1m ish as a transfer fee? Much prefer mannion, who also isn’t good enough btw.Kicking was dreadful and absolute howler with the penalty, which is some feat considering penalties are the one bit of play that a goalkeeper can’t really go wrong - but he managed to do it.3
-
That wasn’t far off the Micky Gray penalty. Thank goodness we had Sacha back in 98.1
-
Doing his best to complete the hatrick
utter guff
like most of em1 -

I would have fancied myself to save that penalty and I am 71.6
-
What is so bad is that he actually picked the right way and still managed to balls it up so badly
He is beyond shite and doesn’t give a shite get him out of my club please

Yeah that was bizarre, wasn't he off to Turkey or something on a free? All of a sudden we've nipped in and paid seven figures.Athletico Charlton said:

Would absolutely be looking for an upgrade, I'm not too knowledgeable about keepers so don't really know who's out there that would fit the bill.0 -
I said it last year but we should have gone for ex Palace keeper Wickens. Looked great for Lincoln last season and now in the championship with them.MarcusH26 said:

I thought we were linked with him, his name definitely got mentioned on here this time last year as a rumourbolloxbolder said:

Was definitely mentioned before promotion even as someone we were heavily looking at , then we ended up with Kaminski.bolloxbolder said:

Kaminski shouldn't be No 1 next season - not commanding enough.0
-
If Chris Gunter were a goalkeeper.13
-
Was excited to see him sign with his 'perceived' pedigree but that bubble was instantly burst by a Luton fan at work who said he's a flapper.
He's got the worst aerial commandment of any professional goalkeeper I've seen at Charlton which is either a lack of confidence, cowardice or lack or judgement or anticipation but it shows and is such a fundamental flaw as it leaves us vulnerable. Surely coaches have tried to get him to improve on it.
A great shot stopper but seen enough to see why he's not a championship level gk unfortunately. Shame as seems nice bloke and has excellent reflexes as shown on his brilliant double saves and is perhaps the best distributor of a ball I've seen by a Charlton GK.
But can't be sentimental. I rate Mannion better than him for his robotic mental temperament but again neither is a nailed on Championship no 1.2 -
Funny - but also eerily accurate.Chunes said:If Chris Gunter were a goalkeeper.1 -

Went completely down in my estimation after his reactions to the goals he conceded in the Millwall game at The Den - my favourite line to us was “what was I supposed to do” after he pushed the ball into Ramsay when I think a 3 year old would have still caught it. Then carried on the same vain until he was dropped.1

Ben Hamer was a better distributor.RodneyCharltonTrotta said:Was excited to see him sign with his 'perceived' pedigree but that bubble was instantly burst by a Luton fan at work who said he's a flapper.
