    Providing we beat Southampton today, then Birmingham losing to Ipswich is not the result we want.

    Should us and Birmingham both win, that would have meant a game at The Valley where both teams know that a draw promotes them.

    Birmingham will now go into that last game needing a win.

    If Birmingham do lose then we just need two draws in our final two games to seal promotion. A win wouldn’t really change much today as we would still need a draw against Birmingham. 

    A must not lose then!!

    As I say above - a win makes no difference - we would still need to not lose to Birmingham on the final day regardless - otherwise Birmingham and Palace would go up on GD (providing Palace win)

    Surely that depends on GD after today’s game.  Palace are only +1 to us now. If we win 3-0 today it’s conceivable that a draw between us and brum gets us both premature.  Pressure would also be on palace to get win.

    However it does also mean slightly less pressure on us if results stay the same.

    A Birmingham win today would've meant we also needed to win today (and that would've meant we were 2nd). Now we only need a draw to go top.

    Absolutely awful defending. Playing at walking pace and look a beaten team already. If they end up in the play offs (as is looking increasingly likely) they don’t stand a chance on this showing.

    Losing a 5th game in 6 currently, and if it stays like this we're no longer in the drivers seat for promotion, which is the mother of all drop offs from where we were in March

    It does, but Birmingham will know a draw sees them home and we don't play well when we need a goal, we're much better suited if we were the ones needing a draw to get promoted
