Failing to see that out at the end is a poor effort.2

I dunno, would have been big to go into the final game with a win, especially with our current form. As it is our poor form continues and it's a real kick in the teeth at the deathForeverAddickted said:Thank god it doesnt really change anything2 -
It does a bit. A win here would've meant that we could lose next week and still go up in the unlikely event of Palace only drawing.ForeverAddickted said:Thank god it doesnt really change anything

A draw that feels like a defeat but still leaves us top of the league. I suspect based on their reactions the players have no idea of the Birmingham and Palace scores1
-
A draw next week against Birmingham means top two1
-
Overall we're still in a good place. Yes we've collapsed a bit recently but at the start of the season if you'd offered them top of the league and only needing a draw on the last day to go up, they'd have taken it.5

Next week:Win for the titleLoss means we need Palace to lose too.
Draw for Promotion4 -
Balls to come on and score a pen!2

Gutting!A win would have seen us up, and only needing a draw to be crowned champions! On to Brum at The Valley, and hopefully a more positive performance across the 901

Top of the league and playing Brum in last game who got tonked 3-0 at home today by a bottom of the table side. Good enough if they want it enough.1

How have we managed that, shades of the mens Portsmouth game0

So next week:
Palace are guaranteed promotion with a win.
Charlton are guaranteed promotion with a draw.
Birmingham are guaranteed promotion with a win.0 -
No. We couldn’t confirm promotion today after Palace won.sammy391 said:Gutting!A win would have seen us up, and only needing a draw to be crowned champions! On to Brum at The Valley, and hopefully a more positive performance across the 90Even a win today would’ve meant finishing third if we lose next week and Palace win.1 -
Looked like about 50 to 60 of us here. Fans a lot happier with the result than the players are.1

Well corrected sir!lordromford said:

Good to see people’s neurotic behaviour can be transferred onto the Women’s team double quick5

Win and we're champions. Draw and we go up. Lose and we're in the playoff unless Palace also lose.2

A gutting way to drop points, but a fair result.
Both teams had chances early on: Siber hit a low shot just wide after a nice move and Newsham got on to the end of a cross to force a scrambling save from the keeper, while at the other end Whitehouse made a very good save from a close-range shot. Southampton then scored a nicely worked goal (the kind we don't seem able to score), and, with Primus and Bashford at the heart of it, generally moved the ball around a lot better than we did – which happens basically every time we play another top-half team. The main positive for us was Lobato, who I thought had a really good game in her first start for a while.
We were better (or at least more proactive) in the second half, helped by Newsham returning to right-back and Hutton coming on after Siber went off injured. Kenney replaced Thestrup but played deeper than usual, and she got the equaliser when a shot fell her way in the box. McAteer also had a positive influence, albeit with some poor decision-making at times. And it wasn't just her: quite often we'd get into a good position and then overhit the pass into the channel, and then there was the free kick on the right that Huttton and Newsham contrived to mess up in a way that would make Cristian Ceballos proud. Some really testing corners aside, a goal didn't look massively likely, but then a hit-and-hope fell kindly to us in the box, the defender made a desperate tackle and we had a penalty. Bissell came on and took it with great composure, meaning we only had two minutes to see the game out... which, in a manner we've seen a few times from our men's team recently, we couldn't manage.
Ipswich have done us a big favour, and we just need one more performance to get the point against Birmingham that would seal promotion. As Rothko says, get down to The Valley on Saturday if you're not going to Swansea – it could be a very, very special day.4 -
Are there any indications of Leicester cost cutting and pulling out of WSL 1?0
