So close but not quite again you’d imagine for Rose.

Went for the Eagle putt and lost the Birdie earlier on. Hasn’t recovered from that.

I know the club chairman puts the green jacket on a repeat winner, but if McIlroy wins here I would love them to make him try and present it to himself.

Jesus, I’d forgotten about this cringefest of an interview that they do before giving him the green jacket.
    Excruciating.

He's such a good ambassador for the PGA.

Give it a rest. It's one of the things that makes the Masters the special major.

    Poor old Rosey.

Amen corner did for him. Bogey on 11, bogey on 12 and then 3 putts on 13 for just a par.

But well done Rory. Took the Tournamount by the scruff of the neck on the back 9 when no-one else wanted to.

Now onto the PGA next month.

Got to feel for Rosey. One of the good guys.

Just shows what pressure can do to you. That was Rose’s 78th round at Augusta and he did I suspect a couple of his worst ever approaches, chips and putts during that final round.

The duff chip at 12 and the missed gimme putt at 17 were just unbelievable.

Think he put too much pressure on himself this week. All weekend he seemed tense on the course and too reactive to less than perfect shots.

Now they need to stop the exodus of players who walk out of the World Tour(formerly European Tour) to try and chase the riches on the PGA tour

wait, what do you mean it is different for THEM to abandon a tour for more money ?

In the new set up there is a link between the 2 tours & players who win a prestigious event (or are in the top x) get an exemption on the PGA tour for 2 years.

Hence why Penge is now on the PGA tour. Nothing to do with abandoning one tour for the other.

Can't remember the exact conditions but I'm sure if you Google it then the details will emerge.

LIV golf is the most pointless experiment in sporting history. Some of the guff spouted by players who joined it has been quite unbelievable.

Creating a product nobody wants or watches and then throwing billions at it is pretty sickening.

So much of sport is morally bankrupt.

I am golf mad and have never watched more than about an hour of LIV golf.

When I'm watching sport I want to make sure I'm watching the 'real thing'. In top golfing terms that is the 4 Opens, the Ryder Cup, some of the more highly ranked PGA tournaments, the very top DP World tour events. I will also watch the Solheim Cup, women's majors, Walker Cup and some other top amateur championships. They mean something, whereas, to me at least, winning a LIV golf tournament or championship means sod all. I'd rather watch a pre season under 21 game ahead of LIV golf.

The Saudis completely misunderstood the golf fan in investing in LIV. It would be like trying to take over English Football and making it a 10 team league with no relegation. They, and their like, can take over individual clubs but the traditions must remain.
