Ipswich winning promotion - Ashley Young retiring the signing that kept Harry Clarke out of the team - Ipswich have a activation clause to extend his contract by one year - does McKenna seen him as part of his plans after good loans spells guess we will see, I personally don’t think so if they want to stay in the Premier League.

He is only 25 and has had a lot of loans throughout his career has this stifled his development? Would we buy him if he is available? He’s currently on £15k a week ! Would imagine he is out of our wage structure! However he still has potential to develop and fine tune areas of his game - I was particularly impressed with his attitude on and off the pitch, at the right club he could really develop - likely he’ll be off to Derby or Preston though
Ipswich signed him 3 and a half years ago as a 21 year old when they were in league one and he's still on the same contract. Surely he isn't on 15k a week?

That said, if Kaminski's reported salary is correct then it's not out of our structure.
Likely to have had promotion wage increase plus potentially yearly increases on top

Likely would have been in the contract that his base salary increases each year as he got older to better reflect his age and development, promotion clauses from L1-> CH and CH -> Prem would have done a fair bit as wel.

I'm impressed that so many people know the ins and outs of Harry Clarke's Ipswich contract.
You asked a question and we provided theories to answer them! Promotion increases are very common

His actual wages is only based on rumours, but base salary contract increases and promotion clauses are pretty much standard in professional football contracts

I'm just interested in Godden at the moment, and really feel he deserves another year as he didn't get a proper go last year due to his injury, if Dykes goes we really don't want to lose Matty at the same time...

Any insider news of which players will be released?

Many clubs have already released their retained list.

I notice 2 ex academy players released by Steve Avory are  now both out of contract at Millwall. Danny McNamara and Billy Mitchell. Both local boys.

Didn't someone say Millwall had an option on Mitchell?

They’re both decent players, worth a look if we need to bulk out a squad. Given we have JRC and Doc though I’d like to think that the midfielders brought would be of a higher quality

Find it hilarious that people think 2 footballers who are regular starters for the 3rd best team in the championship when fit aren't good enough for a team that scraped relegation.

TransferMkt says Harry Clarke is on £13,500 a week, what's £1500 between friends ?

He  was pretty much a regular for Millwall last season

Danny McNamara who had a row with a charlton fan at the valley and told him to “come over the fence then” … can’t see him coming to play for us

Just taking a quick look at his TransferMarkt page, it seems like he had a lengthy run in the side from January-April and then I'm guessing got hurt. So yeah, I think calling him a starter is fair.

Also, this is the brother of Zach, right? I could see him coming in and Zach going out.

Clearly didn’t read the when fit part, both would start in Millwall’s best XI just so injury prone and even if that wasn’t the case, they’ve probably got squad players that walk into our team

McNamara was decent about 4-5 years but has been either injured or crap the last few years.  Definite pass on him.  Mitchell is an upgrade on what we have and on a free so would be solid but not spectacular signing

I’d pass on both of them just because of the injury issues, and the Millwall connections but if people think we’re going to be able to pull better footballing quality than that this summer they’re in for a big summer of disappointment

Mitchell would be a good signing.. would add to depth or midfield. But would he add on quality, not so sure, but he would be an upgrade on what we have I would say

Why are people across social media wetting themselves cause we not released our retain list .. meeting with the players was Tuesday and Wednesday then they have to sort out any payments , bonus etc that may have to be paid .. before they will release any details … only clubs in league one and two that have really released details at the moment … chill out
